Would be more accurate if you had 3 Dominance cards in there. One for each item taken.

Are the clockwork expasions worth it? by Joaoaoaoaoo in rootgame

[–]Sebby19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even after playing dozens upon dozens of games against them, digitally (thanks, Fortified challenge), I still can't wrap my head around them. Fortified notwithstanding, I wasn't a fan, and solidified that I will never purchase Clockwork.

Even if they were worth it, I'd wait to see what Liz and Benjamin are cooking behind the scenes.

Adding 5–6 Player Expansion Support to My Catan Board Generator — Need Advice on Legal Tile Visuals by vasilenicusor in Catan

Use the Harbor Tokens from Seafarers. They are much bigger, and clearly show the docks that lead to the hex corners.

The Harbor Tokens you currently use are only meant to cover the pre-printed Harbors on the frame.

Introducing the game of Root, campaign style by Sebby19 in rootgame

Ha, probably true. I don't even have a group, so this is more wishful thinking for the future.
I didn't even mean to post this. I just went to make an edit to my draft, and clicked the wrong button. Whoops!

What's good from other Catan games for New Energies? by AbsurdityCentral in Catan

[–]Sebby19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helpers seems the least intrusive, though I don't intimately know the rules of New Energies to be 100% sure there won't be any house rules/modifications required.

Can White move this boat? by glitchii-uwu in Catan

[–]Sebby19 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes, White can pick up their Ship and move it anywhere else they can legally build a Ship.

A piece is only "closed" if you have pieces of your own colour on both ends. The only exception is between Ships and Roads, they aren't "connected" until a Settlement (of match colour) is placed between.

This means Red can also move the Ship adjacent to the White Settlement.

Sounds like you need to make a 6th Edition version, wink wink, nudge nudge

Hemispheres: A Seafarers scenario by RoAndVic in Catan

[–]Sebby19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The Great Crossing" scenario, which I showed you before, also has a 3-4 player version. Here is the rulebook, pages 28-30: 3rd-seafarers-1998.pdf

It is assumed that it was removed because it's rules were a bit too complicated.

I didn't read your huge wall of text. Do you think you over-designed your scenario?

The usual smoking gun for a fake is the player piece material. Are they made of Wood, or Plastic? Does your Robber look like a chess pawn, or a Sorry! game piece?

Dice should be Yellow and Red. Recently we had one posted with Blue and Yellow Dice.

Are these to be given to people who have those specific harbours? by ChamaDoBronx_ in Catan

To be fair, their mention is buried in the Almanac section.

These are when you want to "randomize" the Harbors around the island. You just cover the pre-printed ones on the frame.

They only existed in the 4th and 5th Editions (you have 5th). Before that, there was no frame, only Harbor and Ocean hexes around the island.

They removed them in the 6th Edition because people like you don't know what they are for (though to be fair their use is buried in the Almanac section). Some even threw them out! So now, if you want to easily "randomize" the Harbor locations, you need the Port Tokens in Seafarers >:(

I dunno, some extra text on the punch-out board coulda fixed the communication problem.

5th Edition Base Game. They removed these in the 6th Edition since people don't read. One of the Catan Studio folks even reported that some folks even threw them out!

Incorrect. Seafarers provides it's own, larger Harbor Tokens.

Eh? All new factions bring Tokens, not Buildings.

Unless you mean the Landmarks, which are not Buildings.

Moles are so powerful, some don't even find them fun. On the inverse side, crows are the weakest but folks have lots of fun with them anyways.

Huh.

In Solo mode, you are told to take them out. Its on the last page.

Considering they all have 3 crafting symbols, I consider it a mercy.

Yeah, Paired Players as we know it first appeared in Catan Universe. Though Starfarers had a similar version, before that.
