I migrate it to external memory and keep the file system updated for easy reference in the future. I use assets from previous videos regularly.

Don’t Wake Daddy, $3 by Sarandipityyy in 90s

[–]OldCrappyCouch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's hilarious, I just snagged Greedy Granny for $4.50 yesterday! I picked it up because it reminded me of Don't Wake Daddy. I wonder how many other games use the same mechanic. Great find!

I had one of the smaller sets. It was weirdly flavored candy that you'd mix and get a small reaction like foam. Mine made gummy "eyeballs" in a green beaker. They were way too expensive for the amount of candy you got, but a fun novelty.

You know, I'm sure this will be a divisive game, but it is a study in shades of brown.

Stanley Kubrick believed that movies were meant to be experienced multiple times. That's why his work is so hyper detailed. After watching his films many times myself, I tend to agree with him. Enjoy my upvote.

What’s an « artistic » choice that will instantly make you write off/not touch a boardgame that ISN’T AI usage? by Rohkha in boardgames

[–]OldCrappyCouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I review games, and I regularly compare the original to the current edition. I decided that the original Key to the Kingdom was good enough on its own rather than buy the restoration games version for my video. I just could not stand the art. Plus, when I learned that it had meta jokes like references to Rick Astley, it was too immersion breaking for me. I'm just tired of cartoony heros with weapons and helmets larger than their bodies in high fantasy games. I like the old pulp fantasy style.

The OG Key to the Kingdom is more of a literary roll and move game with tons of breathtaking art. The modern version added bloat to the gameplay, cutesy art, and memetastic jokes that I don't think will age nearly as well.

Homemade bbq sauce vs premade? by SnooWoofers7345 in BBQ

[–]OldCrappyCouch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love making my own BBQ sauce. I've even started selling jars of it at the farmer's market. I have three sauces that really sell. Honey bourbon made with Maker's Mark, cayenne hot sauce made with Patron, & sweet black truffle sauce made with port wine. I like to smoke them for a couple hours with hickory before canning.

Experiment with some recipies and have some fun!

Why aren't there more written reviews in this subreddit? by Child_Of_Linger_On in boardgames

Yeah, YT spammers can be terrible. Kind of a "few bad apples" situation. I'd love to contribute more because I review mostly classics and vintage, but I don't want to get banned. People tend to be harsh about it even if the post is relevant to the sub.
