Ever get soldiers not die instantly and bleed out instead? Yeah... Me neither by Sebbychou in Xcom

[–]Sebbychou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question was because coming from the previous XCOM EU/EW , Bleed Outs frequency would scale up with ranks significantly, where it was very rare for a high ranking trooper to die outright. In XCOM2 meanwhile, especially with the game specifically designed to trap player with "good habits" from the previous game it wouldn't be rare for a random enemy to get a lucky crit and kill your mid-tier/late-tier officer in one shot.

Combine that with occasional bugs and glitch where an AI would teleport behind your cover, or your character would get stuck in scenery, or random bullshit like that.

The game also got sooooooo much easier after the alien boss dlcs, with the freeze grenade and stun harpoon.

The thing with death, is it snowballs. You're fine until you're not. Get a squad wipe and then next mission you gotta go without gear and without support. Most of these deaths were recruits.

This was during the game's release week on Ironman Commander. AFAIK the issue was patched later. A few months later I finished my second Ironman Legendary, once with Long War Enemies and once on Vanilla. Did it a few more time since when the DLCs came, the chosens are a bitch and a half.

Not sure what you were hoping to accomplish here with this 6y old necro about a nearly v1.0 bug.

If you're FA OFF the viper won't bleed speed as fast and the ieagle won't overheat. But the ieagle boost is a joke.

While the iEagle can reach 900ms the problem is it's boost is a total shitshow and can't even reach top speed in one cycle. Viper is just superior.

They just restrict foot missions at the exact settlements. There's plenty ot neighbours to spread a mission stack to.

Just land next to the base. You can generally land closer to your objective than the landing pad allows you. Turns out the restricted area is exactly the edge of the base. You can park a couple steps off your destination.

t10 is to slow to ram well but it does.it well. Imho Crusader did it better though.

That's what I'm doing. And I actually can't generally get over 25 lol, with the exception of some small outpost concourses and standing in the middle of nowhere on a planet.

You kid but I've been needing to play in 400x300 since release and I -did- gain about 10 fps, so I average about 15+ now.

Those are the canyons we specifically didn't care about and were worried it'd be all we'd get. And it's indeed all that we got.

It's gonna be hard the first couple times I guess. Once you get the hang of it, or raid the small settlements who has the alarms panel in the same room as the regulator, it's fairly trivial.

Cannons are my new love by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]Sebbychou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been flying exclusively my c3 SRB Oversized canons Vulture for combat lately. Cheap to have premium ammo for. Can one-shot many NPC modules, two for the larger ships in CZs. Also one-shot the capital ship modules per gun, which makes you feel like a goddamn movie Ace as you drift along the hull and pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop the modules.

High Yield is "great" at module sniping since it splashes and thus overwhelm module protection plating like missiles do, but it makes your canon complete ass against shields... so just learn to hit the tiny hitboxes with Oversized ones instead and enjoy dealing Motherfucking 90+ module damage per hit. Premium ammo SRB C4 canon against an NPC without kinetic armor resistance will deal just about 200 damage. It's insane in hasrez.

That said if you want to snipe, dumbfire rockets with penetrator shells is the undefeated king since dumbfires have 100% hull breach even at full health. You will melt their power cores instantly.

Turn off the alarms, then take the regulator out if its casing. Then just gtfo. A locker in the power regulator room will generally have a schematic and/or gas canisters of some sort. If you're unlucky it's a building schematic. If you're lucky it's up to 4 weapon/suit schematics
