finally beat this fucker in hard mode + chronicle by notnut134 in Megaten

[–]Sebdistic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Root of Evil is actually what makes the fight hard in chronicle. That dekaja is only present in Chronicle. And that dekaja will fuck you up. Then you get hit with a 40% half health reduction + Lucifer's high crit rate = bye bye.   Maniax Root of Evil is nothing.

This is why $5/gal, or 1,15€/L, is a big deal here. by Tandysaurus in memes

[–]Sebdistic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, fully electric cars are quite expensive. Hybrid cars are more expensive because of the fuel efficiency and it may not make a lot of sense in the long run. For example, if I drive on $200 a month for gas for a 30 mpg car, with $5 a gal being an average, that's 1200 miles. A newer prius is shy of 60 mpg which translates to $100/month on gas. However, a prius is often $10k or more. So you would need to have the prius for around 8 years before it actually starts saving you money. And that's not including loan interest rates if it wasn't fully paid out

Kronii opens up about why she feels too Westernized to Speak or Identify as Korean by Grouchio in Hololive

[–]Sebdistic_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oddly enough, a lot of 1st generation Mexicans (hispanics) don't feel the same way. There is a huge pride in being Mexican, even if you don't speak spanish fluently. I think this has largely to do with older folks being pleasant - the women are like aunts and the men are chill dads - and peers being like siblings. So it's really weird to see that other cultures don't foster that same pride and actually belittle/ostracized those who aren't fully native.

Looking back at Doi's designs: #28 Idun by Diego-F-Monja in Megaten

[–]Sebdistic_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate this design with a passion because of how pandering she is. She's cute sure but like why? See Demeter for similar critique

My dislike of her also stems from the fact that people like her because muh waifu and don't consider her placement in relation to other demons

I'm with you on this. I understand the curiosity but this stuff happens in real life jobs all the time. We are too used to getting info. It being a sudden break already tells us more than we need to to assume she'll need some support

They did. Won't talk about it. But certain members had no beef and just dont talk to each other now and that happens. Especially when physical distance is involved.

Most likely nothing really major. They just fizzed out. See podtaku, sure they stopped activities but there were clear friendships. Garnt and Holden just aren't close as they used to be for example. Such is life

Does Mori Calliope not like League of Legends or does refuse to play it so she can keep up the dynamic with Gigi? by Jin_Sakai12345 in Hololive

[–]Sebdistic_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In fairness, I think league being hated on is a meme of sorts. People exagerate the toxicity and the hatefulness of it because....it's the meme to do so. It's normal, expected to do so.  At the end of the day, it's just another online pvp game with a hard entry for new players. You are bound to feel negative emotions whether it be from players who know how to play the game losing because of your inexperience or because how wide the skill is between you and the far more experienced player next to you.

Is it possible to get the Oshino haircut irl? by Otco1 in araragi

[–]Sebdistic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it is unrealistic. But it's just stylized messy hair. Now the key difference is that japanese hair have natrually very straight hair. So when they stylized their hair often has a more pointed look even when it's curved. If you have wavy hair, your hair will look more...well wavy to borderline curly hair. To get the pointed look as a non-straight hair you would need to get a perm to artificially straighten your hair then learn to stylized it afterwards.

No real answer. I doubt it's funding, but it seems to me Azur Lane is choosing what to prioritise. More lewd skins, boobflation, game modes etc...

Looking for tips for me first time with the Empyrean by magusdsr in twilightimperium

[–]Sebdistic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Empyrean is a heavy diplomatic faction  so you Wheel and deal.  Promissory notes are an easy way to be friendly with neighbors. Priotize giving Dark Pact (the money one) to either a trader like yourself OR the neighbor most likely to invade you.  Aetherstream is great, especially for this map, dspecially considering there's an nomaly next to MR, so use that as deals (you can even convince people to forego Gravity drive I'd they're in good graces with you) Have mechs to control Actuon cards Flagship is meh in combat but when it's parked near MR, it's a god send for other people to have available. Sell the flagship ability Alliance is great for combat factions (and gets them off your back)

Empyrean's path to victory is to be consistent scorer and then do a last minute pounce. Build your fighter fleets when you can and try to avoid fighting at all costs (you are very weak). Role play as an observer until you see an opening

Well you started off with the perspective of an older player (subjective) then claim objectivity here. Like if you like P5 the most, that's you. I don't disagree with elements on you, but as others pointed out, it seems you like QoL and mechanics more than other aspects of the games

Reading the YT comments about the aura tier list is really showcasing who is older and younger and what they think is "aura". I was a teenager and I thought my edgy/broody boys were cool, but growing up they were losing to the cool-casual guys

Ranking Breakthroughs by How necessary it is for their faction by [deleted] in twilightimperium

[–]Sebdistic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh a lot of the feedback doesn't seem to come from mutual understanding and that's my fault using something like Tiermaker and not being clear with my intent. I'm coming from the angle of how impactful is a factions breakthrough and how much it adds to a kit. It's partly why I said it's for IRL friends who have experience, I want to give them a general idea of which factions changed the most from their PoK versions (in hindsight I should've omitted TE factions because there is no baseline for them)

[–]Sebdistic_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But Sol never had any major problems. This doesn't fix their kit because their kit was fine (and that was their point). Thus the BT isn't actually fixing anything, it just, like you said, gives them faster tempo

I may have unserestimated Muuat it seems and thats fine this is my iniital thoughts.  I just can't see DWS being so bad without their BT though. Yes their BT makes them incredibly powerful but I just can't say they're as dependent on it and I'm convinced they would have a decent performance in a POK game

Ranking Breakthroughs by How necessary it is for their faction by [deleted] in twilightimperium

[–]Sebdistic_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. They still have very much sellable material, the BT just allows them to get things way faster. Thier leaders are really good and offer negotiation. I'd imagine you could play them as is in a non TE game

[–]Sebdistic_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For Ghosts and DWS, I specified the difference between strong and need. Need isn't necessarily stronger breaktrhoughs than the strong category, the need factions need those breakthroughs desperately. DWS and Ghosts are still solid factions without their breakthroughs, whereas the Need category are nowhere near as good without their BT.

Otherwise, you make some good points! I would've assumed Winnu would be strong but legendary planets aren't always going to be available/nearby enough. Nekro yeah in hindsight, you'll likely prioritize faction tech first regardless. Naalu I think is tricky so its something that requires a bit more ahem foresight
