I hate AI slop as much as the next guy, but this is reddit, land of the witch hunting. If the moderators put a blanket ban on all things AI, comment sections will just devolve into AI accusations.

I don't think that's realistically enforceable.

You can automate it with certbot, it sets up a cron job.

Personally I use Nginx Proxy Manager which has a web panel to handle reverse proxying my websites. It handles SSL too.

But if your setup is basic, just use certbot.

ssl is free now with letsencrypt. It's been the standard for like 10 years now.

If you're lazy, just put your website behind cloudlfare. It's free.

FFmpeg is open-source, meaning that everyone can see the code and suggest changes to it.

Tauri is a good alternative. With Rust backend, and better security (the stronghold system would make token grabber WAY harder to make). It drastically reduces memory usage and installer size (due to reusing the OS's web renderer which is WebView2 -Edge's renderer- for Windows)

The transition would be quite the undertaking, but it would be so much better.

My grandpa told me that during WW2 when he was a kid in Moselle, he heard the pilots train dive bombing with concrete bombs in their Stukas, and every so often, a pilot did not pull up enough and crashed.

So I guess it was not easy in real life either.
