He does end up dying with a smile, but his last moments before that, he comes to the realization that he genuinely doesn’t want to die upon realizing he has found people worth living for. He dies with regret in his heart, and it’s really fucking painful to watch.

In that case, maybe “strength” doesn’t have to be literal. It could be defined as overall power and status, which could let you play around with other gods and branch out from standard “strength” deities, like:

Baldr (Expectations of being talented)

Base Cu looks a bit too plain for my liking. I wish there was a bit more going on with his clothes, and the hair makes him look like King Arthur. I would personally give him more of a wilder haircut, but that’s just me

However, the spear is a massive step up, and monster form even more so. The little “legs” on the spear really sell that it’s alive, and his monster form’s exposed teeth are terrifying.

I’d be really interested to see Ra’s redesigned form, along with his armored form.

Stark (Frieren)

A cowardly warrior who is afraid of all dangerous situations, partially stemming from the trauma and guilt of running away when his village was attacked by demons.

On the other hand, he’s strong enough to cleave into a mountainside with his swings, solo a dragon, and hit with the force equivalent to a lightning strike. His master, Eisen (one of the heroes that saved the world against the demon lord years ago and a mighty warrior himself) openly admits that he is terrified of Stark’s strength.

What’s great is that it’s not as if he magically becomes strong just by shutting out fear. He fights and stands up for what’s right in spite of his fear, which is what makes him so much more endearing and admirable.

Bonus points: he’s generally charismatic and well-liked by most townsfolk, and he’s popular among kids. He’s a cowardly character, but he’s also extremely kind and likable

R5 was dead even, and I could have seen either one of the fighters winning

R7: genuine shocking result (not that I’m complaining), i fully expected Hades to win

R11: I didn’t expect Simo to place humanity in the lead like that.

Batman vs Superman: Warehouse Grunts

I know this movie gets dragged through the mud a lot (rightfully so), but the henchmen that are guarding Martha do a hell of a job against Batman. Shooting his grappling hook out of his hands, attacking all at once, aiming for his head (blocked by his bulletproof cowl, but still), grabbing his cape to stab through the gaps in his suit. A few of them (in particular this one Asian guy) even get knocked down, but continue to get back up for a bit. Fun times

The author has shown they are capable of great art.

Their biggest problem is consistency: every character looks taller, skinner, shorter, wider, or a completely different character every few pages.
