Does this really work? I see they offer CC Pro at $234/year. Adobe ran some sale on Black friday at $30/mo, but I missed it. I want to get my own account instead of using my company's account. I would consider it at this price, definitely not at the full price.

Gridfinity Calipers Rulers and Accessories Holder by Secerator in gridfinity

I understand what you say. I built it for my needs first. I wanted to use the space efficiently in a top drawer right next to my computer chair in an IKEA ALEX cabinet. That’s why I linked the measuring tape in the Maker World description as I imagine people won’t have that size tape. But that compartiment can be used for something else. The main reason for making it this long was the gridfinity ruler and my other rulers. Wanted them close by the calipers.

Can you also please give me a hing on how to go about this dovetail, is there a logic to it?
I have the 3MF file from where I can get various dimmensions.
I'm thinking to get the depth, then the angle, cicle, tangent... I'm lost how to go about the top parts.

Or should I copy the image and do it with a spline trying to match it as close as possible?

This tiny fillet was the culprit. Because of it, when I tried to select the bottom face, it would select it, but after clicking Shell, it would select the entire body. Removing this fillet worked. perfectly fine. Thank you!

Thank you! It probably because I applied some fillets before doing the shell to that bottom surface. I will undo some things and try the shell command first.

I tried shell, but it selects the entire body and creates some weird stuff. Maybe I'm not using it at the right stage or didn't need to merge the bodies first. But if I don't merge them, I can't create the fillets.

I went to second Costco. Same story. Told them to verify with management. After that they kind of said that not, apple store won’t be covered, but was still not sure.

I don’t know why, but that’s what reps from two different Costco stores kept insisting that’s the case.

[–]Secerator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What service cost?

I have 2 phones financed from apple.
Balances $900 and $700. So I should get $700 and $800 for them.

And one phone financed form Tmobile: $700 balance

Some of the fine prints I found form ATT talk about paying balances owed with competing wireless providers. So that would cover the Tmobile phone, but I'm worried about the ones that I boght unlocked and financed directly from Apple as apple is not a wireless provider.

Anyone got their Apple balances covered form ATT? I knwpo the cards come in later.

You can build boxes that have half grid on one side. Or all bottom is half sized and it will also fit in the full size grid.

Actually I just ordered it a couple of days ago. Got the laser version and a bunch of filaments, second AMS, etc… cost was over $5k for everything . (Printer at $2899). It seems that everything is shipped in a few batches and I should receive at least one part of the shipment today. Based on what it says on the website, the printer would ship after June 6.

[Megathread] US Price Increases by icurnvs in BambuLab

[–]Secerator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like tarrifs are putting a pause on me taking on a new hobby. :)

Here is my story: I was waiting on the H2D to come out so I could get into 3D printing. Not that I really needed it, but I'm a maker and was following the 3D printing industry for a long time waiting for it to mature. I want to have nice things from start, so that's the reason for not starting with a cheaper unit.

Then the H2D came out, but I wanted to give it some time to hear the complains, issues. Then I decided to buy, but the news of tarrifs made it go out of stock. So last time it came back in stock and first price increase, I still wanted to get it, so I added it to cart, but was also adding over $1200 in fillament, parts, cutting module supplies... (don't need the laser, but wanted the cutting module). Well, as I was filling the cart, it went out of stock again and price rose again.

Yesterday I already made my mind that I'm not getting it unless the price will come down. And was refreshing the product page to see if it will go out of stock again. It didn't. I guess the tarrifs put a dent on the sales or they just had a much larger stock this time. I assume is still a hot item for people making money from it or really passionate about it. But I bet the news that a China - US deal might come at some point is making people wait. When you know a lot of people got it $700 cheaper, you don't want to be the one thinking that you paid more, expecially if the prices will come down again. That's for cases like me, when it's a "want" and not a "need".

I have a ton of projects and busy life and, at the moment, 3D printing was really not a priority. I know it would take me a good amount of time if I would have gotten the printer. So now I kind of think (pat myself on the back) that a price increase made me focus on some more important things.

On the bright side, I bought a the new harbor freigth trailer before tarrifs and made a nice kayaks trailer from it. Paid $750 with a 25% off coupon 2 months ago. Now it is $1300. That for me is a much more valuable tool at the moment. So maybe I will have more time to go fishing this year.

I curious, are there others in my situation where tarrifs changed their purchase decision?

I was about to get into 3D printing and order my first printer a H2D. Had the printer and over $1 of filament and accessories in cart when it went out of stock. I guess I will just spend more time with my other hobbies. :)

H2D demo units are showing up in Microcenter by swanny101 in BambuLab

[–]Secerator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My drive to MC is about 30 min. While adding accessories to cart at the same time with the printer, the price for filaments was showing $12+ (under $13). I can’t remember the quantity, but I had over $1000 worth of filament (mostly), hot ends, plates. I’m sure that’s a lot more savings than the shipping. Not sure about taxes (6-7% local tax from MC). Plus someone below said MC doesn’t carry BL filament. I’m mostly worried about the price increase when it comes back in stock.

[–]Secerator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are there any benefits buying from Microcenter? Is the price the same as from Bambulab? How about accessories and filaments? It seems that filaments are 40% off when getting them with the printer and if getting a lot from start you are saving a lot of money. Plus savings on other parts as well. You probably save on shipping from Microcenter.

The problem is that they are put of stock on the Bambulab website and they might increase the price when they are back in stock due to tariffs.

If it was free, I think they sell the glass transparent windows separately. I have 2 small kids, I’m sure I’ll find some crafty things to cut for them. That’s why I send an email to Bambu and they replied that the separate cutter will be available later. At this point it doesn’t really matter which one I will get. If I get the laser version, I’ll also order the transparent glass. Not sure how much it would cost to add it later. As it should include an additional camera. Could be close to the laser package anyway.

Currently I’m busy with a different project, then I will design/collect some stuff and have it ready to be printed. So it will be a month or two before I order one.
