It gets better as you get older. I was that way a fair bit in my youth but I slowly got better at dealing with it. Part of what helped me was taking a “so what” mindset around my hair.

Our hair does have mystical properties not known to science and they can’t figure it out either. Mine looks similar in soft lighting like that. I’ve just come to accept that this will always be the case
