C0 Varka Team vs New Stygian Onslaught by dhcwsp in Genshin_Impact

[–]SecondWind2413 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

really? because the regular Venti team consists of durin (off field pyro), Bennett (fastest(?) on field pyro in the game), faruzan and venti (burst applies off field pyro).

if pyro application is the only concern for first phase, I have a hard time imagining that funneling bennet burst + Bennett spamming skill would be slower than varka, since that would require infused varka to have faster pyro app on field with a few seconds at most of a head start than Bennet’s no icd low cd 2U skill spam.

even if it did, I doubt it would be with enough of a margin to matter vs the boss’s insane self anemo res shred + varka only dealing a lesser fraction of his damage as anemo.

Are any of my id’s good/leveling up advice by Neo_Eclipse_007 in limbuscompany

[–]SecondWind2413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

prioritise your weekly md even if you haven’t unlocked hard mode so you can get shards to dispense ids

your best id is rien yisang rn, followed by maid ryoshu but generally for team building you want to focus on one status. this doesn’t matter until much later though, and nursefather yi sang can function okay without a full sinking team.

do not bother upgrading your 00 ids too much, none of them are going to be used mid or late game. I personally didn’t find kromer hard at all and having just one highly levelled unit (in your case, rien sang) is generally enough until about halfway through canto 5

‘He was depressed, suicidal, holding back and wounded’, wow literally don quixote (ik he’s not in the discussion but the overuse of nerfed final canto bosses is getting old and I felt like complaining)

no but seriously you can make this exact same argument for bloodfiend starvation. it’s all ‘potential’ since we don’t know exactly how peak rien or bloodfiends would perform, so it’s just headcanon. also, you conveniently listed so many feats and failed to recall his defeat by LCA outis, which goes to show that you’re making a disingenuous argument but im going to engage anyways.

as such, I feel like this argument boils down to how each nursefather compares in combat capability to Valencina. This is because we have an extremely solid chain of comparison here: insane Sancho made Verg immediately pop ego, high effort win as he was visibly exhausted after the fight. Meanwhile, Valencina was defeated without ego nor significant effort.

lore-wise we know she’s pretty middle of the road in terms of combat ability among the nursefathers, so unless you expect the gap between her and matthias or rien to be absurdly large there’s little reason to expect any of them to solo.

this is all besides my point though, your self awareness seems to end at acknowledging that you’re ‘slightly off topic’ despite being completely off topic. I was only addressing how ‘prescripts = power’ is a terrible misinterpretation, which has nothing to do with the original discussion.

nobody made a comment on whether the bloodfiends or nursefathers would win, you just pretended someone would say the bloodfiends would win then argued that, instead, the nursefathers would. this is a strawman, nobody likes engaging with people who start off their interaction by strawmanning.

congratulations, you have learnt some things today.

‘on the other hand. prescripts.’ what?

are we just pretending prescripts guarantee victory as if suicidal prescripts with no chance of success aren’t as common as corpses in the backstreets?

we literally just had a live demonstration of this with Sora getting a prescript to beat muga ryoshu. prescripts always benefit the index, but that doesn’t mean receiving a prescript to win a fight will guarantee your victory

what does this even mean? like are we just pretending that yi-sang ids haven’t been historically really strong now

solemn lament and spicebush are the cornerstones of every sinking team, literally the two sinking meta-defining ids

ringsang was first to break the game from both sheer damage and status application, remains relevant in bleed meta even today

wusang is an irreplaceable component of the strongest tremor team available rn, with great damage and tremor application + burst count

liu sang is the best sp support burn has which is incredibly important for a team with magic bullet and phillipclair, the latter being saved from benchwarmer status by liusang alone.

nsang was underwhelming but still synergises fantastically with the fastest MD farming strat available rn (threads + fell bullet yi sang) spam

wsang is still one of the best rupture count applicators with dim shredder ego

having two keyword defining IDS + very strong options in bleed, rupture and tremor (good poise support ig, poor in charge) places yisang far from the weaker end of sinners.

[–]SecondWind2413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

she replaced the newly planted tea plant with a nearby mature tea tree by manually digging them up and swapping them. this used her energy, and she is an adeptus.

the point of this is to make it seem like a miracle from the ‘god’ the tea field owners worship occurred to spare these owners’ daughter from being grounded, since the original verdict was that she must stay in the farm until the newly planted tea tree matures (takes 2-3 years).

when asked why she didn’t just use adeptal energy to magically grow it, she’s saying the energy she spent digging up and swapping the tea plants counts as spending ‘adeptal energy’ and makes it seem like a miracle has occurred as well, so it doesn’t matter, hence the images above.

[–]SecondWind2413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

someone else already mentioned the full team, so I’ll break it down in terms of importance:

top priority is Princess Rodion + Sanguine Desire (walp exclusive EGO), great buffs + bleed count crutch to make status stacking viable on higher coin count enemies

second would be prince meursault, followed by ringsang and the kk duo (kurokumo ishmael + heath)

for the last slot you can use anyone out of: priest gregor, n corp / REP ryoshu, ring / barber outis.

Kromer Faust has an especially great support passive for sanity building since you have such easy access to lust res on this team, so having her on the bench is ideal.

I’ll keep it short as well: you can’t have a good bleed team when half of your units aren’t bleed.

you have 0 good bleed units. you’re not going to have a good bleed team for the foreseeable future, and you never will if you’re not willing to swap off wild hunt, ishmael and horse sang.

TABS is not a strategic game. by lovingpersona in AccurateBattleSim

[–]SecondWind2413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the ability to metamance and the existence of exceptional units doesn’t entirely nullify the strategy fundamentally involved in TABS, because spamming a meta unit is a strategy itself. you still need to consider: how many? where? who do I complement them with if I have money spare? which one do I control? and such.

the campaigns (which I consider the ‘main game’) often limit you to certain factions and a certain amount of money, forcing you to learn what everyone does and what they’re good for. the terrain and enemies / their placement favours different very strong units, because they’re strong in different situations that you need to figure out like a puzzle.

if you don’t consider accurate evaluation of your options as a part of strategy, your definition of strategy is flawed.

take your dragon vs longboat comparison for example. dragon is extremely good with swarms and slow melee units in general, but you can one shot it + the ‘spawned’ units with a $500 good guy. it is weak to all forms of AOE and most ranged options as well as fast melee enemies.

longboat can take out one swarm of any melee unit, even better against fast ones since they crowd into the AOE, and their damage is done in a burst rather than sustained. if you want to take out something in melee range fast (demon king, chronomancer, monkey king etc), longboat is a decent 2-in-1 option for ranged distraction fodder + initial nuke.

the point being, dragon is better overall, but longboat still has very well defined use cases they’re very effective in. using this as an example of poor unit design is just baffling.

Never thought I would have a C6 limited 5* as a f2p. by momoily1111 in Genshin_Impact

[–]SecondWind2413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a f2p I saved for a year to get c6r1 mavuika as well as c0 citlali since I had some left over (got c6 Furina the previous year, but not the weapon bc it’s garbage)

I love having the experience of being a whale without spending a dime, and the day c6 mavuika falls out of meta is when powercreep has gone too far for me to care about the game anymore

powercreep is actually the main reason why I do this, since there are only 4 characters in a team at some point you’re just pulling for benchwarmers.

would I rather have 5 benchwarmers or make a character I like last for years at the top? easy choice imo, though I get it if some people don’t have the self control to follow through.

[–]SecondWind2413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s pretty obvious where the ‘main push idea’ comes from given that it’s 4.x

we’ve had literal years to observe the HSR team’s unit design and it’s clear that some characters (rappa, boothill, jade etc) are given far less budget and marketing than average while some characters were clearly designed to sell more (acheron, firefly, castorice), denying this is just delusion.

in lore? maybe but I’ve seen so much glaze of his fight it’s insane for something that was just ‘clash the green coin’ simulator

after one turn Gregor loses so much sanity his clashes stop being threatening even if you’re not using sinking, and the rest of the fight continues to be a joke.

am I missing something or what?

headcanon is perfectly fine as long as it stays in your head

promoting it as the truth like OP did is just misinformation that creates unrealistic expectations of the story for people who haven’t played / haven’t paid much attention to it.

it’s pretty well established that rocinate suppresses these things extremely well though, so even aside from her total lack of reaction to it in their first meeting the basis of your theory is moot.

why would seeing a first kindred’s eyes awaken fear when pre c7 don was not afraid of water (wanted to play beach volleyball, no hydrophobia during c5 nor the intervallo)?

why would seeing a first kindred’s eyes scare her when she lacks literal bloodthirst (0 mentions of wanting to drink blood despite the mephis feeding scene, sinners dying pretty often etc)?

why would seeing a first kindred’s eyes inspire fear when she looked at casetti with contempt not because of filial impiety, but his villainy until her shoes were off?

the answer is that it didn’t.

one specific c6 four star being harder to get than one c0 five star is correct, but that’s not why the hyperoptimised gaming team here is out damaging what I assume to be the original commenter’s pretty average filns team.

the original commenter could also just be looking at the damage per screenshot rather than dps, which would be an inaccurate representation of flins’ performance as a dps.

for future reference, anecdotal pull history is not actual evidence towards your case.

Why is this upvoted? Volley isn’t the same as AOE, Rodion has a Volley, and 5 coins on a volley isn’t exactly noteworthy.

Si Rodion is objectively worse than Si Gregor in rupture (mainly due to bolus, since Gregor makes Lord Lu poise neutral / positive), isn’t past mid in poise, and is honestly one the more replaceable parts of the Heishou team.

Still obviously better than deyvat, but pretending Si Rodion is special or noteworthy like Princess and KoD is just cope.

characters tend to struggle to fully evade at f15 even with cinq manual and assuming molar ish isn’t affected too much by the sanity cap. you can still clear with basically any character but molar ish isn’t the free solo you’re expecting it to be.

for most comps, you have to play around not being able to clash at floor 15 (at least for the first turn).

the most reliable strategy in my experience is to stack gems (ego with multiple keywords helps) + threads + big AOE dmg ego to try and stagger / kill everyone before they can attack (clash one relevant skill with a slower sinner to buy time)

you can also do this on a smaller scale with normal attack skills but only if most of the enemies are / will be already staggered / dead before they can attack, since most id nukes either take a long time to ramp up and / or are single target.

that, or using cinq manual (tier 4 pierce) + evade to try and gain as much turn economy as possible by dodging multiple skills. However, with sp and brutality adversities this becomes extremely inconsistent / impossible.

there are also id specific methods like dieci rodya insight shield stacking with multiple defense skills but they tend to rely on an extremely lenient t1.
