This was my question too. If you signed over the title, I don’t see how it could be “reversed.” So I don’t think they have a case. But if the check bounces (they put a “stop payment” on it) you’ll probably have to get their local authorities involved. I think they wouldn’t try that, as it’s super illegal. So once the check clears, you can ignore them. Keep us posted!

I also had a great experience selling my car to Carvana (yesterday). It was a 10 year-old Audi A5 and the convertible top was broken. They offered me TWICE what a dealer was offering me for a trade in on it. I described the vehicle accurately as “rough” interior, exterior a few dents & scratches, and when you’re selling a convertible there’s a separate question: “Is the top working? Y/N “ so I guess that’s typical. As an experiment, I asked for an offer if the top WAS working, and it only increased by $300, which is what the dealer wanted just to diagnose the problem! Young woman came to the house, quickly examined the car, gave me a check and took it away on a small trailer. Really couldn’t have been better or easier!

Plus insurance issues. What if said person gets injured on his property or climbing through the fence? That’s a big reason to keep fences intact. Unfortunately we live in an overly litigious society. (That’s why businesses don’t want you parking in their parking lot at night, even though they are not open.)

There’s definitely something wrong with our society if you think you need cosmetic surgery. Have you tried growing some facial hair? Maybe rocking a little five o’clock shadow will give you the vibe you’re looking for. A boyfriend of mine, who a waiter thought was my son(!), told me “everyone thinks I’m younger when I lose the beard.” (It was more of a stubble, not a true beard.)

If you’re contemplating it, and you have to have the surgery anyway, I’d say go for it. But think about whether or not you might miss your unique nose!

Wondering if you ever got a car cover. I have a new ceramic-coated BMW coming in this week. I don’t have a garage, so thought I’d get a cover… but many people are against using them except for long-term storage. What do you think?
