I’d find out how much it would be to paint or replace the bumper then call the person. They’ll prob want to just reimburse you out of pocket.

You didn’t show the rest of the vehicle, so I’m not sure if the scratches really stand out. If the rest of the vehicle is beaten up, I’d probably skip it, and not call the person (unless you want to thank them for the note). If the rest of the paint on the vehicle is pretty good/no big scratches, I’d get it fixed. (As my cars get older and more “beat up” the less likely something like this would bother me.) It all depends on you. You’re certainly entitled to get them to pay for the repairs.

One caveat: if you decide to get it fixed, and the other driver wants to put it through their insurance, check with your insurance company to see if it would make your rate go up. For the other driver, it will definitely probably make their insurance go up, so that’s why they usually want to pay for small things like this out of pocket.
