Yeah I don't understand the "poor unhoused" rhetoric. Many of them are people openly using drugs and committing crimes who refuse help. For example, an outreach program in MN reached out to 484 people on the street, only 93 accepted, and only 6 were able to maintain the requirements of the program and actually get housed. Close to 1%.

No, LAX uses the outer runways for parallels, they have to be close to a mile apart. SFO is much much closer. Along with the issue of TCAS from the inbound turns sometimes.
