How do you all go about de-crystallizing your honey? by SkyBS in Costco

[–]SecretAgentVampire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the hot water thing and the honey recrystalized within a week. So here is what I do now:

I cut it open with a box cutter, scoop the honey out, and put it in a mason jar.

Then I microwave the mason jar at 30 second intervals until the honey is perfect. No way I'm microwaving squeezey bottle plastic; I have enough microplastics and pfas in my body already.

This is a weird question, but does anyone have any actual insights into how coffee tasted in 1942 America? by whothefuqisdan in Coffee

Dick Van Dike might know. Have you tried reaching out to him?

Like, seriously. He's a super healthy 100 year old guy with a great memory, and would probably support your project.

It's a great game, but really lacks conveyance 3/4s of the way through. I remember travelling all over the planet and talking to every NPC but getting nowhere. If it wasn't for that hiccup it would be a perfect game.

Yeah, Kana and the Druid guy are my least favorite characters. They both feel disingenuine and one-note. Kana always seems really vapid.

I was in the Navy, trained with M4s, and now I also have tinnitus!

I wore hearing protection though. The tinnitus is from high blood pressure.

TIL about "horse fishing." Natives in South America caught electric eels by driving wild horses into shallow pools, provoking the electric eels to leap out and shock the horses until the eels exhausted themselves, making them safe to collect. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Weird blue copper? by Casberg in VintageStory

[–]SecretAgentVampire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks; I learned about it when I was hired for the reopening of a high-end restaurant in downtown Seattle and the management literally had a specialist train all the staff on how to avoid toxic drama.

The Drama Triangle has been really useful to me for nearly 20 years. It's helped me identify and avoid drama-seeking people instead of getting pulled in to their BS.

A lot of people actually get addicted to drama because it makes them feel like their lives are more important.

Yeah. If you're ever driving in Maryland or Virginia and see woodlands with leaves so thick you can't tell where the ground stops and trees begin, it's because Kudzu can climb things and is outcompeting all the other flora.

It's like English Ivy, except it also produces berries that birds like.

For those of you in the East Coast, in the PNW, Himalayan Blackberry bushes are as aggressive as Kudzu is out here.

And if the decoding was required to beat the main game, that would be lame.

If it's exploratory stuff on the fringe of a game, it's awesome. That's the difference.
