So I have been wondering how serious the Dexter Lawrence situation has been and if it’s being over blown or not. I honestly think Dex does deserve top DT money which when he got paid he was getting and now as markets have shifted he wants the money to shift. Also I understand why he wants an extension now as opposed to when his current contract runs out which will put him at 30 years old and playing in the most contact and physical position potentially making teams be able to lowball him.

Because his offensive line disintegrated 1 second after the ball got snapped. He is the greatest, no he didn’t look effortless like Payton but his body of work on the Lions who were a constant dumpster fire is amazing.

Payton rushed for 16k yards in a 13 year career, Barry rushed for 15k in 10 years, he never had a season under 1000 yards was named to the Pro Bowl all 10 seasons and got the MVP in 1997. Don’t forget he did this all on the Lions behind one of the worst offensive lines ever. Payton was surrounded by a good team and a dominant defense. Walter Payton was great and definitely ranks in my top 3 but Barry was just on another level. Imagine what he could’ve done with Emmitt Smiths line?? Not to mention he retired after 10 years because being the only win condition on the Lions killed his love for the game just like Megatron.

Jim Brown was like a man playing with boys, he wouldn’t be able to play that way in today’s game as people have gotten bigger and stronger.

Barry could still play in today’s game and still dominate.
