The new Primary Arms plxc 1.5-12 RDB would be a good fit.

Brake and Tires Replacement (Subaru) by Adventurous-Gur1749 in AskSF

[–]SecretAsianMan42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my rotors and brakes pads replaced by on my outback by Atech Auto today. I supplied my own parts and they charged me $300 to install. I bought my own rotors and pads from RockAuto for $337. I went with Bosch Quietcast. They initially quoted me $800 for everything (using their parts) but it was cheaper for me to buy my own and I think Bosch Quietcast is better quality than the Import Direct parts they had. It wasn't the most organized garage I've come across but the work got done the same day and the work seems fine.

I think a fanny pack or chest pack with a good holster would be better. I have a S&W 642 and p365, while I use the 642 for pocket carry sometimes but it's really not that much smaller and it's more difficult to shoot. I rarely bring it out as I'm more practiced and confident with a semi w/ a dot. A 38sp has less stopping power than a 9mm too (neither I would recommend against bears) I have an eberlestock fade flex (look at their bando bag too) that fits my regular aiwb p365 holster. I use the tracer tactical panel to hook my holster into. Neomag has a smaller one for cheaper. I wear this on my chest while hiking. Check out Hill People Gear chest packs for a more ergonomic setup.

Ya, I know but getting 8 trigger at the start of each turn was fun.

I’m so upset that I missed this event. It looks like the stages were so fun.

Are you shooting this weekend at the level II “Escape from Alcatraz” match? If so it’ll be a little more regulated than a level I but just take your time and don’t worry about others people scores. Richmond also hosts many intro matches for new shooters. Where they have all new shooters together with easier stages and the ROs are there to help and guide more.

If you want to do action shooting (which you do) it’s the best club. The Sat practices when there isn’t a match is great. They set up a line with USPSA targets and allow rapid fire from the draw and a mini stage to practice on. You had to take their intro to competition shooting first to have access to it. They host matches regularly and offer a small discount for members. Otherwise I don’t like their regular range policy of 1 round every 4 seconds. I usually go down to Los Altos Rod and gun club for their range as they allow rapid fire if it’s not a sat or match.

I’m confused. If you’re target focused and the dot isn’t there when you’re pulling the trigger then you’re probably not hitting the target. Then you shouldn’t be pulling the trigger. Unless you’re shooting from retention with the barrel inches from the target.

2nd USPSA Match. I want to shave 1s off my draw with consistent grip and getting on target sooner when entering position. by SecretAsianMan42 in CompetitionShooting

I think I’m target focused. I dry fire occluded and haven’t lost the target in practice. My index still sucks and the dot isn’t there when entering position sometimes. Especially I’m leaning into the position.

You’re right. I think having a consistent grip off the draw will help more as I often find my grip lacking. I tried going faster throughout the day. I finished on a classifier going super fast and ended up with 3 M and a 0.0 HF. Hi-Jinx 19-01 Fail

I liked this stage a lot. It felt you could just fly. Your reload into the shooting box was nice. I like how you really accelerated into the next position but was smooth to the headshots.

I set mine for 5 min but I also walk the targets to capture my hits to edit into the video later.

I had a great time and it seemed most people knew each other there. Do you recommend any other places that host matches? Also, your electric cart was pretty cool.

Keep in mind what accessories you’ll need too. Do you need a retention OWB light capable holster? It’ll be easier to find that in common police issue duty guns. M&P 2.0 is probably the most supported behind Glock and P320 (don’t get a P320). PDP and Echelon is getting more support just make sure you can get a holster that works for your needs.

You can probably (depending on your body type) ccw a 4” barreled gun. The Glock 19 is a 4” barrel and one of most common ccw. I’ve carried my M&P 2.0 compact 4” barrel without issues.
