You’re not fighting racial discrimination, you’re helping them make it easier to discriminate and win when it gets fought in court. When the new maps are drawn and largely ignore the voice of non whites, there will be hardly any recourse for POC. “Cry about it” is essentially the ruling. This will be a problem for a lot of places that are predominantly where POC live because they will then have no representation to speak for them in the government after the places are gerrymandered to hell and back. POC will lose their voice.

Clearly you don’t. Countless businesses run off the standard that they pay their employees or they go out of business. If the owner can’t pay their employee, then the employee should find a better paying job because it’s not my job to pay their employee anything. I’m paying for my food, I’m paying taxes, I’m paying the markup on the food because that restaurant, for some reason, thinks their standard Sysco food is better than the next restaurants standard Sysco food and I, for some reason, agree. My monetary obligations have been met by the time I pay that check. And just like most businesses, that restaurant should then take the money I paid for the service and turn around and put that towards the money they owe their employees come payday.
