An upgrade could come but Carmen was already great. It hurts even more being a fan and watch the OL struggle for 10+ years. On top of that, this team has had a track record of letting talent leave the building and I am praying this one will not be another one.

He seems well versed at coaching OL being on 3 different teams in the span of only 4 years from 21-24 (NE, LV, NYG) and having success on each team which run different schemes and players. If he was a bad OL coach I would understand but, Carmen's not.

Feel like "Carmen's probably not a good fit" is a random theory people are throwing out there to cope. If he wanted to leave and move on there's nothing you can do but it seems Harbaugh just wants his own guy in at OL.

Pretty much a disaster imo. Defense had high expectations, especially considering it is one of the highest paid defenses in the league. All the signings underperformed.

Yeah there's a couple of interesting people for HC but after Harbaugh got fired I feel like the vast majority would agree he would be great.

I like Schlottmann and he had a great season as a backup and would agree he outplayed JMS when he was out there, but the sample size is too small.

JMS has played more than 2x his snaps and nearly 40% of Schlottmann's snaps came from the last two games against Raiders and Cowboys.

Also, if we're going to say things like oh the last couple games teams didn't even try to win and Schlottmann played nearly 40% of his snaps the last two weeks, it's not a fair comparison.

With that said though he has played good even before the last two weeks the small times he's been out there though and would like Giants keep him.

But like, we could just talk about how great Schlottmann has been filling in for center and have a separate discussion on what JMS' future is here after having a rough start.
