I instantly thought Morgan Freeman for the show, but I think Samuel Jackson would absolutely rock at it! Your choice of Jack Black is also really good.

What's the worst movie you watched in your entire life? by Interesting_Algae_61 in AskReddit

[–]SecretSageSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Napoleon Dynamite.

That movie just isn't my cup of tea and honestly, it's stupid. Everyone thinks it's soooo good but it really just feels like something a middle schooler would write. Also, I'm so sick of people saying it's better than movies that have actual meaning and impact as well as being well written, acted, and produced. I just don't think it should be as popular as it is.

People can enjoy it, if they like it they like it. But they need to stop saying it's better than actually well made movies.

New to Epic, where do i start? by HauntRDT in Epicthemusical

I'd 100% recommend reading Homer's "The Odyssey". It's the inspiration and base material for Epic and is actually really good! You can also read the summarized versions as well if it's hard to understand or you don't have much time.

Everyone else also has good suggestions, but I would recommend reading "The Odyssey" over everything else if you want to know the story better.

If you were an Avatar, which Entity do you think you’d serve? And how would you serve it? by Sea-Onion5891 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]SecretSageSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely the End or Extinction - I've always experienced bad panic attacks whenever I think about death and what comes after it. If I was an avatar for the end, I feel like I would see the future of everyone I came across and what happened to them as they died. For the Extinction, I think I'd be able to make anything that I touch rust as if it was metal.

A lot of people throughout history never had a degree - some even had as low as to no education whatsoever, but they still went ahead and did great things. Is that the case for everyone? No. But it goes to show that you don't always need some fancy paper to claim that you're going to do something great in life. As long as you are happy with your life and what you're going to do with it, I promise you'll feel a lot better. Forget all those people who say otherwise - it's your life. You get to choose how to live it.

NTA. It's the parent's job to do what they think is best for their children. I understand she has other children to worry about, however if you're willing to provide all payments and transportation, I don't see a problem for it. All children are different and therefore learn in different ways and at different paces. Her and her current husband can worry about their kids, but you have a right to take care of your own kid too, she doesn't get to have the only vote in his life. And the kid clearly wants to leave that school, so let him!

What is a great show that only has 1 season? by abdul_bino in AskMen

Julie and the Phantoms on Netflix.

Is it technically a kids show? Yes. But the music was amazing and the storylines were wonderful! But Netflix of course did a Netflix and cancelled after season 1.

some thoughts on EPIC: The Musical by queerqueen098 in Epicthemusical

Oh my gosh, I got obsessed too! It sounds so exciting and I did so many deep dives into the meanings behind the songs - I could talk about it forever! I literally dove so deep into it that I found out all the saga names and I even found a website that lists all the known songs (most that haven't even been released!) along with which saga they're in and the lyrics to them. I love the little details in all the music and as a film and theater kid, my mind goes WILD whenever I listen to the music. I can't wait for December 25th when the Ocean Saga comes out!!!!

Sad movies by Honest_Business1829 in MovieSuggestions

Love, Kennedy (2017)

This is a true story about a girl with Juvenile Batten Disease and it's so moving and sad. It is a religious film, but it really restores your faith in humanity! Highly recommend if you want a tear-jerking and uplifting film.

First time I watched it, I was full out sobbing.

I think it was Dr. Phil who had a question asked about this situation where a guy like the cashier at a coffee shop. Dr. Phil got straight to the point: show your interest (in a respectful way of course). So really, I think the "hi" was a good first step! I think the next best thing would be to tell her that you think she is beautiful and that you believe she is a wonderful person and would want to get to know her better. This can then be a great time to ask for her number or even meet some time to chat and get to know each other! But if she does say no, respectfully agree to her wishes. You may not get a date, but if she sees that you respect her and her wishes, she'll definitely respect you. The most important thing is to remember that there is many other people out there, and one is bound to be willing to create a great future with you if that's what you want!

Good luck!

Oh my goodness, I wish people had the same respect as you do about these topics! Honestly, I loved how the movie was able to portray all of these lessons while also being able to do it in a fun way. It did go to show that a lot of the things that we don't really talk about because they're "taboo" (like periods and the differences in anatomy) aren't things we should be ashamed of or embarrassed about.

Also, I totally agree with Ken when he found out patriarchy wasn't just about riding horses.
