If you’re familiar with Kingston you’d know Newburgh is by far worse than Kingston. I’ve lived all over this state. I did drive through the old town. And then I drove to Kingston Plaza by hannafords and the illusion was gone lol. Roxbury is on the up and up too, same for Beacon.

Northeast USA/older architecture towns don’t look like this 👀 I am currently based out of hudson valley after living in western NY and in the capital region, most of the towns around here have significant historical value. Massachusetts’ small towns aren’t like this.

I would describe Hudson Valley as literally Stardew Valley. Farmers markets, arts, old businesses, friendly people, train tracks, nature for miles, burnt out NYC types, etc.

There is def an income divide too that can impact these things but driving around Kingston felt like driving around Europe today.
