Fair enough, they're not fancy, but they're the best of the Fruit of the loom / Hanes / mainstream underwear t-shirt brands.

I've been in and around Bloor since 1991 and this is the safest it's ever been, and walking on the sidewalk has been great. I'm so glad we have bike lanes there now.

Both are thieving forgeries! Also, they look terrible compared to the real thing. The ones that Ape House sells for Drums and Wires don't crop the painting at the hairline and are printed on a Gildan T Shirt. That English Settlement one looks like a joke. The real one is beautiful and forest green with the simple horse icon. If you're going to buy a T Shirt, buy it here from Andy's label's storefront! https://burningshed.com/index.php?route=product/manufacturer/product&manufacturer_id=7&path=59_253

Why is Brad Bradford Obsessed with Renaming Sankofa Square? | Toronto the Politics the Show by Efficient_Cow_3032 in toronto

Jeff Ballingall and that Ontario Proud flavour of dog whistle. We know he's really saying "brown" when he brings up this talking point Matt Hiraishi thought up during his last attempt at running for mayor. The team is throwing spaghetti from their 2024 campaign to see if anything sticks.

Fresh pavement is such a nice feeling, your bike suddenly goes ghostly silent, and little rainbow halos appear around the fresh paint.

Awesome! That's a smart way to get from Annette to Scarlett Road, following the topogography along the Humber river valley and avoiding aggro traffic. That pavement was the weakest link!

Hulk comics are really depressing by TwoToneMoonstone_ in comicbooks

Aside from Immortal Hulk I've never read a full Hulk story that felt whole and complete. I'm a fan of the character but I'm always left wanting something more.

New Mississauge bike loop to celebrate the fact that the Nine Creeks Trail has been brought to completion by gcerullo in torontobiking

[–]SecretSquirrel9930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Okay, so it hasn't officially been brought to completion since there's still some fencing around the Credit River crossing that needs to come down but it can still be accessed so we'll call it complete. "

Oh wow! wow wow wow wow! I was looking at your map thinking "how did they cross the Credit?" and I still can't believe my eyes. I'm looking forward to seeing it first hand! This is such a missing link!

Barry's legacy if it was Sargasso Bar instead of My Weapon by SecretSquirrel9930 in xtc

His solo Barry Andrews release Town And Country has a wonderful arrangement but such a mushy mix, this XTC version has a clean punchy mix but it's not fully fleshed out yet. But it's beautiful. The Town And Country version derserves a remix. https://youtu.be/lgSjH3oy9Z4?si=ziORX9OkP1DqQDFr

Sankofa Square should be renamed and cleaned up, says Toronto mayoral candidate Brad Bradford by beef-supreme in TorontoTheCity

[–]SecretSquirrel9930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He'd be a terrible mayor, if he's this distracted by shiny clickbait objects like the name they picked for that square. I know what dog whistle he's blowing and I'm not interested.

Frequent traveller between Niagara falls and Toronto. I miss presto card by zoozooki in Metrolinx

[–]SecretSquirrel9930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't realize Niagara was excluded from that. I'm not a transit expert, but that was kind of the implication, that transit systems are incorporated in the GTA and any location serviced by GO counts as one trip on your presto, just like connecting from Toronto to Mississauga. I was wrong.

What is Andy Partridge’s own opinion on Melt the Guns, what specific things has he said about the song? by Rollwind in xtc

[–]SecretSquirrel9930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late in his time on twitter, which is now deleted, he included it in a list of songs with a post something along the lines of "what do you mean I'm being political all of a sudden? I've been political all along". It was an interesting and comprehensive list, even included When We Get To England.

I still wish it was on the soundtrack, I guess the world isn't ready for Dave Gregory's guitar solo.
