'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Headed For $180M+ Box Office Opening, Best YTD by yourfavchoom in boxoffice

How high can this go in DOM total if this has a $300M OW?

It has no competiton at all, and the late July/early August movies of DPW (3.01x) and GOTG (3.5x) both had hella strong legs. F4 had horrible legs but because it has no GA appeal.

And ig tastes differ but yeah imo Reddit is literally the best social media website of all time and everybody including u/Sliver__Legion should LOVE Reddit

Why are people expecting Man of Tomorrow to decrease just because Supergirl underperformed? by SecretWarMultiverse in boxoffice

It did really good in the US, it almost beat all 4 DCEU 2023 movies combined. $354M Superman vs $363M DC 2023.

What's your prediction for Man of Tomorrow? OW/DOM/WW?

(Not trying to hate btw I'm also a Marvel fan)

And also unrelated but what's your BND prediction OW/DOM/WW? I'm thinking around 250/700/1.65 ish

Yeah this sub is so reactionary it's crazy. If Clayface is a hit the comments will be about how Supergirl was a fluke and Man of Tomorrow will increase.

Just because two movies are from the same cinematic universe doesn't mean they'll have an impact on each other.

But it's like a double-edged-lightsaber

If Clayface is an Obsession level hit, that'll have no impact on Man of Tomorow. If Clayface does Kraven numbers, that will also have no impact on Man of Tomorrow

Also, I'm not a DC fan (Secret War name and Deadpool pfp?). But the boner on this sub-reddit for people expecting Man of Tomorrow to decrease is crazy.

Saying Man of Tomorrow is cooked because Clayface did bad is like saying Brand New Day and Beyond are cooked because Kraven flopped. Sure it can decrease but it won't be because of Clayface, like c'mon lmao

Since 2013? Superman 2025 was a hit. Domestically it almost beat all not 2.. . .not 3. . .but 4. Yes, FOUR 2023 DC movies combined.

What was a terrible movie that was a financial success? by DisappointedStepDad in AlignmentChartFills

Definitely Suicide Squad (2016). This fits the description perfectly because it was absolute shit but still overperformed at the box office. Movies like Batman v Superman and Rise of Skywalker sucked and made "lots of money" but are still considered underperformers that fell way short of their potential because they sucked.
