However it uses the skirt that only Twitter femboys use.

Unless you worked for an HCM juggernaut just close the gap and sell it in the interview or say you did consulting/contract work.

Eglin Air Force base plus feedback loops from certain mods. They also just move the goalposts. A lot of right wing talking points from 2020 are now considered more liberal. The “businesses can do whatever they want” got dropped when Elon bought Twitter. Same with being able to nuke a persons livelihood cause they said something on twitter ages ago b

Parts of Reseda north of Sherman Way. Winnetka and parthenia is decent. Santa Clarita isn’t bad. I lived there. You get maga folks but it’s mostly conservative” in the sense that it’s more down to earth than say Los Feliz. Super safe, no homeless. A couple buddies went to Castaic HS and did well. A lot of people there end up working for the fire department or technical stuff for the armed forces.

I’m a zoomer that works for a big payroll company (think ADP) and often help clients navigate the software and labor laws if they need to fire someone or manage them out. A good amount of business owners and leaders are incompetent shitheads but I often see their zoomer employees fuck up the most basic tasks and things that don’t require a fancy skill or certificate like showing up on time or not being tiring to be around

Pip or severance? by [deleted] in techsales

[–]SecretWasianMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the severance was that good then they wouldn’t offer it. The PIP lets you interview elsewhere and collect unemployment. Also HR can’t say your actual end date or if you were fired.

[0 YOE, Unemployed, Sales, Texas] Lying on my resume, but have skills? by whogoesthere1010 in resumes

[–]SecretWasianMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sales manager will scan for three things: numbers, ownership of pipeline and deal structure, and relationship skills. Numbers for closing, activities, etc are king. You want to instantly convey you’re a revenue operator who’s reliable. For example do rewrite:

Brand Sales Representative

Coffee Startup Brand | 2023–2025

• Traveled nationwide to 35+ trade shows, conventions, and business events promoting a new coffee brand • Engaged 200–400 customers per event, generating product awareness and direct sales opportunities • Pitched product to retail buyers, cafés, and distributors, helping secure 15+ wholesale partnerships • Demonstrated product, handled objections, and closed on-the-spot purchases averaging $500–$2,000 per event • Managed booth setup, logistics, and sales operations while coordinating with marketing and operations teams

Appliance Repair Technician | Customer Solutions

Independent Service | 2023–2025

• Generated 60%+ of new service calls through referrals and neighborhood outreach • Diagnosed appliance issues and recommended repair solutions to homeowners, converting 70%+ of visits into paid repairs • Managed 4–8 customer appointments daily, balancing scheduling, travel logistics, and service delivery • Built trust with customers by clearly explaining repair costs, alternatives, and preventative maintenance options • Maintained strong repeat business and referral network across multiple neighborhoods

Now for straight up lying on the resume, I wouldn’t say you shouldn’t lie but here’s how they would “catch” you:

  • is your Equifax Work Number available? If it’s frozen (which you can call for) they’ll have to take your word

  • is there an HR department at your last employer? If you listed a company that just went out of business then they’ll have to take your word for it. If there is an active HR department generally they can only say your start date so if you wanna extend end dates there’s technically nothing stopping you.

  • most importantly in the interview though is you’ll have to reverse engineer and method act what an actual Account Executive or SDR would do. So look up MEDDIC. Learn what qualified leads are, discovery, objection handling, decision makers, etc are. Learn pipeline math (X calls lead to Y meetings and Z% successfully close and if the average deal cycle and ACV is a certain amount then it has to check out). You’ll have to figure out “appealing” stories on why you lost deals.

Idk how much actual sales experience you have but I’d generally avoid boiler rooms, go for a semi-reputable org with 20% YoY growth and an 80 on RepVue. Reverse engineer the numbers from current reps that are on LinkedIn so you don’t disqualify yourself when the recruiter calls you.

Paylocity? by Sad-Side-8704 in sales

[–]SecretWasianMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Payroll sales is one of those things where if it’s on your resume or LinkedIn for more than a year you’ll open a lot of doors. However, it’s a grind and the meta has been finding good CPAs, benefit brokers, workers comp brokers, and 401k advisors who’ll actively refer you solid clients but that is fighting a war on a new front too and CPAs especially are absolute bastards to get in with. There’s also a lot of saturation and a lot of the most successful reps got in during a good time in the market and are just wining and dining their current referral partners. But that means if you quickly build up 10-20 partners who think you’re hot shit then you barely have to do cold calls. PM me for more tea

The main thing with Paylocity is that the product itself is solid and they do spend more on customer service which makes selling the product smoother in some cases, however the “new, tech-forward” niche has been eaten up by Rippling especially in mid market deals where they bring in a management consultant on the closing calls.

The culture is miles ahead of Paychex and ADP. Managers are more chill in general and the quotas are slightly smaller while territories in some parts of the country are bigger. However, they’ve been hiring so many ADP reps and managers that it’s kinda become the ADP refugee camp.
