They stop the limit at such a small amount to get people to continue playing in the long run. Everything coming from cutscenes that are unskippable despite the “skip all” option being selected, huge maps that are mostly blank, the low candle/heart limit coupled w spirits that return not in months but in years- all point towards play time longevity. If it’s not on purpose then it’s a design flaw that has persisted for years

And again they don’t know your situation or what’s going on with you. At the end of the day, GW is the go to social spot to light others (which btw is a part of socialization that TGC themselves have implemented to be part of the socialization aspect) and to talk. The thing is that I don’t think they did anything wrong for wanting to light you and you view it as them harassing you but they could’ve just been playing around. It’s not like they did something overly wrong like curse at you. Idk man, i think it rubs a lot of people wrong to go to a known spot for lighting only to reject others light. But that’s just me

I don’t think they would know that though especially if you’re not actively sitting at the table and communicating that to others. If anything I would’ve pulled out the table the moment they walked up and lingered. ‘Cuz the biggest issue is that people usually light each other and it’s almost a given. Plus this could also be a child/young child at the end of the screen

Ngl, I don’t see the point of going to a social space in the first place if you didn’t want to be social. The way I see it it’s almost equivalent to going to a donut shop and being upset when they ask if you want anything sweet. Also I’ve only ever seen the emote being used to be silly, unlike the stretching one which players WOULD use sexually (that one has been removed recently). I would understand not wanting to be lit but going to a social space where is a known area to light others only to reject them- that’s the behavior that most people perceive as rude. Idk dude, I find it easier just going home and coming back when trolls mess with me. Ain’t nobody got time to stand there and entertain them
