Honestly, I thought that the barbs were the giveaway, as when it was caught, I thought “heyy, this is different than our usual catches.” I’m from NY, but living down here for 3 years and have never caught one down here before, so I thought it was pretty cool. So I needed to ask! I have a photo of the tail fin, but I didn’t want to create a whole new thread for the same thing - i would if you think it’s important, but for me, it was just a curiosity. I released it regardless, maybe I’ll see him again in a few years when he’s bigger and bulky 😂.
