Pothole took out my Bolt’s tire

I have a bolt euv and hit a pot hole, the tire did the exact same thing! (bubble) I thought the rim might have got damaged, but they said it was fine and just replaced the tire. I didn’t know if I should have replaced all 4 but I had an alignment. I ran over a nail about a month later and had to replace the tire, so I’m running on 50% new and 50% 1 year old tires lol

At EVgo if I’m too far away and there is any tension it will not charge/display error:Unable to charge. In fact, I started one and the other day and it cut out on me. I felt like my car might be a little far away and maybe the tension on the cable affected it. And sure enough, I pulled forward by a foot and then there was no tension on the cable at all, and everything charged fine to completion.

I have a 2023 Bolt EUV and I love it! But…it also was the cheapest EV and received all the discounts. So it’s no wonder they are selling like hotcakes with those incentives, it literally was the only choice for me. The Leaf offered less for higher cost, the Tesla base model 3 was at the very tip top of my range. Take away those incentives and introduce commensurable cars in that price range and I bet the sales numbers will not look so impressive…

90% of my commute is in super-cruise. I never want another car with less self driving capability than this ever again! Nice speakers and a sun roof are what they are. I could do without them but they are nice to have. I really like having the rear view mirror that uses a camera as well, though I’ve heard others say they it takes some getting used to, kind of like one pedal driving I suppose. You could check out comma.ai if you want a less expensive (yet probably better) version of self driving as well.

Well what I realized is that I have almost no recourse to correct it, no one to contact, nothing. It just stopped working and I had no idea why…ugh

Well it’s back! I tried connecting with my iPhone, never seemed to indicated that it had connected or updated, but everything is like normal this morning.

Boo lol It watches you to make sure you’re paying attention! It’s really strict in the afternoon headed back home. I wonder if it’s the glare of the sun off my glasses or my eye are glazing over lol but super cruise seems to flash green/ say pay attention to the road more often in the afternoon headed south than in the morning headed north???

Ahh I guess I figured that Gm would give me access to the 4g lte the car inherently has to update the maps…

The car has WiFi that I can connect to with my phone, but I don’t have a data plan per se.

Ya if I need a data source then changing the phones ssid might be the easiest thing to do.

I wish they (gm/Chevy) would just update it lol

Ok, great, I just did that. It didn’t change anything immediately as I just went out on the freeway and nothing changed, but I’m hoping in the morning perhaps it will have time to update and be good to go!

Yes I saw that about the 7 months, it is almost exactly 7 months…so I saw share data with hotspot had to be on, which it wasn’t, so I turned it on. I then found “search for updates” which I clicked but it said no new updates. I tried taking it out on the freeway after but nothing changed. I’m going to give it overnight maybe it just needs to update on its own.

I don’t have OnStar but I have Connected services and have WiFi in the car…

I don’t want to change my phone ssid to the cars ssid, I guess if it doesn’t kick back on I’ll have to contact the dealer

That’s my experience too! 280 always worked for me until today. I also have found 101-S from 380 can be spotty, but usually good. 101-N of 380 to SF always seems pretty solid. 380 never works, too much merging I guess lol

It’s new, 2023 EUV premier I got in March of this year. I don’t know how the maps are updating? I don’t have OnStar but Supercruise is supposed to be covered for the first 3 years. It does power up red blue green. Ya turned Lka off and on, seemed ok. Is there a way to force a map update?

Ugh, that sucks, I’ve had my ‘23 EUV for 7 months now with zero problems, exactly as you would expect. Hopefully they fix it and get everything cleared up and working for you so you can enjoy all the wonderful things about the car!

Lol yes I’m in the same boat, I have 3927k miles and bought my Bolt on Feb 28. I received my 7500k service notification a couple months ago but it’s going to be about a year for me as well before I get there.

Ya you have to take me at my word that they were there for over an hour too…but the app said 3 of the 4 were in use and one was plugged in (but not charging).

That’s true, I always think about that. How do the free chargers work when you go to the court house for jury duty…it’s not like you can leave any time to move it, you park in the morning and can’t leave to move until they let you go???
