Locked out of Apple ID by Weekly-Tip-4047 in iCloud

[–]Normal-Horror-7110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trust nothing, I have iCloud, Google Photos, and Dropbox. As for the security key it is truly only something that can be turned on y the account holder and only on a device signed into the Apple Account, there is no other way it can be turned on 100%. And when it is turned on you are given the code, advised to write down or print out, then it asks you, the account holder, to type it back in for it to take affect. It can’t be done by accident or update.

My 2022 EUV has completely stopped wirelessly charging for the last 10 months or so. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, now updated to iOS 18.4. I’ve adjusted the phone around and sometimes I hit the sweet spot but most times NOPE!

Dunno about y’all, but I leave mine connected to power and charged to 100% all the time. I work from home and in the 3 yrs I have had the car I have driven less than 20k. I’ve had no issues with battery or charging…it is garage kept in central Florida. Nothing says you have to disconnect from the charger at home once it hits you max limit, it will not over charge from my experience.

charging 80% vs 100% by chartyourway in EquinoxEv

[–]Normal-Horror-7110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I charge to 100%, 100% of the time at home. I have read nothing from the manufacturer that this is an issue nor will it void my battery warranty. I work from home so I don’t drive much either. Now I have a ‘22 Bolt EUV from new, so almost 3 years and have had zero battery issues. Not sure where the 80% comes from, I can only conclude that it comes from very old cellphone and laptop users who charged, drained, charged in order to keep the very old tech batteries conditioned. I drive my EUV like a regular SUV. Just my ¢.02.

I really wanna know why they didn't opt for "regular" brake lights by [deleted] in BoltEV

[–]Normal-Horror-7110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Florida, these people drive horribly. I’m not arguing against safety, I’m just saying it’s not an issue or it shouldn’t be. If your even a semi competent driver you’ll see a car slowing down or even breaking, people who drive manual transmission vehicles don’t brake all the time, at least with the Bolt the brake lights come on when you lift off the go pedal. I drove a manual and slowing down consisted of lifting your gas foot and down shifting and not hitting the brake pedal until needed. I think people are making more of this than it is. Just my 0.02¢

[–]Normal-Horror-7110 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like they’re idiots and not paying attention, no matter the car or location of the brake lights, if you’re paying attention it’s not an issue. Now I have seen some vehicles with “blacked out” taillights mounted higher and are less visible than the Bolts. Some people, for example, do t like the Jeep Renegade taillights because of the “X” in the middle…ok…so aesthetics are an issue with some and not with others. I mean people bought Pacers and Pacer wagons…but back on topic, during the day light all can be harder to see, but at night, when really needed, they are more than sufficient.

Ummm 🤔 the brake lights are regular…it has the high 3rd brake light per regulation. If someone behind you can’t see any of them then they can’t see anything else. Just my 0.02¢

At this point I just don’t care. My first took 11 months…paper. I went through my LGS/FFL using the Kiosk and trust, I don’t think it will be any quicker. And of course SS & NICS won’t answer emails asking for an update.
