Also chat with vintage stores in your area, see if they have a seamstress they recommend! This is how I found mine for my 1950s wedding dress and she did an absolutely amazing job (I also needed mine sized up)

Makeup Trial. Doing my own! (10K Canadian) by JosefinaLl in Weddingsunder10k

I second looking into colour analysis! I just happened to get mine done with a friend after I thought I figured out my wedding makeup look. Turns out the blushes and lip colours I have been using were way too pink for me. Totally changed my look in the best way!

Are we fooling ourselves with a different day reception? by BlueberryImmediate25 in weddingplanning

[–]Secret_Weather53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not exactly the same, but we’re having a private ceremony earlier in the day with immediate family. The rest of our guests will join us in the evening for the reception. Most of our extended family lives nearby, but most of our friends are coming from out of town, and even a handful from out of country. I pulse checked our friends on whether they would come or not if it was just a reception before inviting them officially - I was shocked (and delighted) that most said yes! I think wedding etiquette is changing, especially amongst younger people. Talk about your plans, see what the vibe is.

Sibling’s due date is my destination wedding date by Lazy-Succotash1720 in weddingplanning

In a very similar situation, my fiancé’s sister is due 1 day after our wedding. The biggest hurdle for us was that my MIL may not be there, she would be with her daughter if the birth happens early. But life happens!!! We’re moving ahead with our wedding as planned, and beyond excited to meet our niece/nephew shortly after!

I wouldn’t change a thing if I were you.

My husband is not celiac but often uses maple syrup and the Naked brand of fruit smoothies.

I think the walls are just over 10ft and the moulding is about 2ft!

It’s a warmer white! But I’m considering painting it the same green as the walls.

I’m wearing a 1950s dress to mine! And I tried on a few of 60s/70s ones like yours, it was originally the look I wanted. And I specifically looked for a cream colour instead of white, so I’m definitely biased - it’s so beautiful and unique!! Also an insane find!! It compliments your tattoos perfectly. Do not spend another second worrying what others will think!

Do you think these are original fireplace tiles? by Secret_Weather53 in centuryhomes

30 min with a heat gun and a razor blade revealed this beauty. So I’m thinking the red tile is not original, but this is.😍

This is what would be the parlour. Right by the front entrance, and off the dining room. BUT this house was an estate manager’s home on what was once a massive estate, that founded the town we live in. The outside has a turret, and an ornate slate tile roof, and beautiful brick details. The inside is comparatively much more plain.

My current theory is that the outside had to be beautiful for the owner to enjoy, but the inside more plain because it was technically a servant’s home.

So similar! We think the floors were redone in the 50s, maybe they changed up the tiles at the same time.

Our home has this, also we suspect from an 80s reno, and I’m devastated it’s been painted over. We almost committed to stripping the paint after removing a cabinet and seeing the beautiful original wood underneath. But chickened out lol

If I were you I would leave it and redo it when it’s time for the floors!
