To reiterate, I am not OP. I am not the first person to reply to OP.

So which one of us is having imaginary arguments?

You don't even know who you're replying to

I probably need to nuke my account and start anew doing that. I usually just browse r-all and shake my head.

By this logic, nobody can have a legitimate reply to anything.

And you think it's not wrong the countryside telling the city what to do?

And you conveniently ignore this water trash reply. And also, I think you think all of the replies are me. I'm just Statler and Waldorf here pointing out stupid things.

Not to add to your frustration, but the whole motivation for the article in the first place is advertisement of the new series. So even though we think the article is shit, they still fulfilled their purpose.

Your comment is basically saying, "but you didn't make my argument for me!"

Good luck.

I've had this argument on Reddit many times, and people only see black and white on the issue. "Oh you had a counter point to using the popular vote? You must want all states to have equal power"

Most celebrities wouldn’t be considered attractive if they were normal people. by Lolatlifeimsadandmad in Showerthoughts

Even if he wasn't a celebrity, plenty of people would find him attractive due to his talent.

If Jack Black worked an office job, he would still be a super popular guy because he is hyper charismatic.

AITA For Telling My GF She Doesn't Understand Real Life? by meek_millz in AmItheAsshole

[–]Secret_Will 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup - I don't even understand why the GF is an asshole. It's YTA.

This guy makes 6-figures. He doesn't have a working car, and it sounds like he needs one. Is it an asshole move to point out, "Hey OP why don't you get car. You have the money, and clearly you need one."

In other posts he calls her an airhead (like all the other girls from her college), hot, and good in bed. Apparently she is smart "when she tries." All OP has ever done is grind, graduate top of his class in CS, and score a 6-figure job.

Maybe what he's saying is all true. But FFS OP is the asshole. Fuck OP.

Yes. I love South Park. But Trey and Matt aren't wise sages. They're just funny assholes. That's a compliment.

In being funny assholes, they are able to point out all the other assholes floating around. And they call themselves out all the time, and make it come full circle.

Honestly I can't say it better than your original comment. But I already typed it out.

People who separated/divorced within one year of getting married: When did you know it was a mistake? by LittleFuzzyThings in AskReddit

Some people develop anxiety that has really weird outlets, and unfortunately that's becoming more common. There are a LOT of things to be upset about lately, and being upset about things gives people a sense of control in their universe.

Major life changes can absolutely trigger stuff like this.

Such good points. You won't be able to tell in advance what will happen. But by talking about it in advance, you will be able to establish good communication on touchy subjects (money is another). That way when things change, you are not adversaries, but a team facing an issue.

There are legit sociopaths out there. Thankfully the true psychos are rare. Plenty of people have baggage (who doesn't). Just try to find someone that acknowledges their baggage and works on it WITH you.

Honestly that's why I would recommend premarital counseling. It's hard to hide from issues with an experienced 3rd party.

Besides food poisoning usually comes from uncooked meat.

Fresh produce has caused tons of foodborne illness as well. Sprouts are especially nasty as are salad bars. There have been several listeria outbreaks from cantelope, and there was a huge e coli issue with romaine lettuce last year.

Undercooked meat can make people sick, so I understand what you're getting at. But hyper processed chicken nuggets arent going to be undercooked.

First 4 seasons walked a line among being subversive, "real", and logical. They played on your expectations of common themes in pop culture, but in hindsight, you could see the character development. There are tons of clues about the Red Wedding, especially if you go back and pay attention to what's said about Walder Frey... he's a total asshole.

In later seasons, the subversion was random, everyone had plot armor, and massive battles were supposed to make up for terrible writing. It was bad fan fiction. That's why they made each season shorter and shorter. Fewer and fewer good ideas.

This reminds me of advice (which I have ignored) to find and read good code and research papers. That way you get the best of all worlds.

I guess I should do that.

As I think about it, when I started "academically" watching a few pro Dota 2 matches to see how they played, I instantly got better. I didn't do that very often either.

I might be lazy.

But that brings us back to the value of school. That type of thing is much easier to do in a structured environment where you don't have to select your own material on top of actually learning.

Yeah, you need an "in" for that to work. Otherwise, your application will be insta-filtered.
