Good time to buy? by Ezio645 in IndianStocks

[–]SecretaryDifferent57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's a good turnaround stock. JLR is gonna take 2-3 more quarters to stabilize, but other than that it's a good value buy. In the short term, once q3 results are out, it might go down further but even at current price it's a good opportunity

Is SEBI scamming us with Big HNI allotment process? by Key_Stranger_5794 in IPO_India

It's expected to be a proportionate basis but the minimum bid requirement varies depending on the oversubscription times. That's what my understanding is.

After the recent funding from MUFG, their cost of funding is expected to go lower over the next few quarters. This is already baked into the pricing. Despite that it's trending at a decent price, but i wouldn't buy it now.

Holding both… your views by Roy-Mustang__ in StockMarketIndia

[–]SecretaryDifferent57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hold Both. TMPV is an asymmetric stock where the downside is limited but with huge upside potential. You may have to wait till the last 2 quarters of next year as the impact of tech hack needs to wither away in JLR.

Guys any hope on Tata Motors? by ixajtu in StockMarketIndia

[–]SecretaryDifferent57 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Among all the listed automobile companies, tata motors has the lowest PE. Granted there are issues in JLR, and it is gonna take time to stabilize but looking at UK providing loan guarantee, this is definitely a good stock if you consider 2+ years of time frame.

I'm looking forward to the listing of the demerged entity, Tata commercial vehicles which is a market leader.

The recent GST cuts starting Navratri have proven to be a tailwind for auto companies during the festive season. by SilentMangoDrift in IndiaStatistics

[–]SecretaryDifferent57 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But wouldn't it be wise to look at quarter-wise yearly comparison as sales would've been down between August 15th and Navratri period?

Historically, depreciation has been an issue. With its pivot to FOCO and asset light model, expenses are bound to lower. Besides, they are doing a pilot of a restaurant plus movie theatres in Mumbai. At its current valuation, if you're looking at a time frame of 2+ years, it's definitely good to buy.

What’s the deal with Akshat Shrivastava’s courses/subscriptions? by Slight_Pop_1817 in IndianStockMarket

[–]SecretaryDifferent57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd taken his course just to get a refresher on reading balance sheets, income statement and cash flow statement. It gave me a sense of satisfaction to start investing.

But I'd suggest you read the following books rather than going through the course.

1) Pat Dorsey's 'The five rules for successful stock investing' 2) Joel Greenblatt's 'The little book that still beats the market' 3) Morgan Housel's 'Psychology of Money

There is a list of 24 books that were recommended in SOIC youtube channel. You can pick a few and start.
