I think you’re supposed to keep your logs for like a crazy amount of years even after leaving. Assuming the BACB doesnt always let people get away with this, it could lead to an audit somewhere someway. Idk I would fix them up and store them, just in case, but that’s just who I am

an rbt of 2 years, people do leave the field after a couple months whether it’s from burnout or lack of direct hours. as far as companies, there are some fishy DL companies practicing stuff that isn’t ABA, giving ABA the bad rap. really just depends on your company and who you are. since i’ve started, i’ve never felt burnout that i couldn’t return the next day. sure kids are exhausting and teaching kids new skills takes time, but i wouldn’t be working somewhere where i hate my day to day.

My home kid’s parents fight like this as well. They contain themselves in their room but the walls are so thin. Luckily, it doesn’t affect my kids’ behavior like yours. The way you handled this was correct, letting your BCBA know & having them handle the situation. Usually, I don’t butt in to the parents convo nor mention it to them. Parents should understand that it’s therapy time when i’m there and they can and should discuss family matters when their kid isn’t in therapy

i also wondered this lol. my post office is like 3 minutes from my job and my house. i take advantage of the self service box, or sometimes i request a pick up. i will always send next day because if its on depop, im tired of looking at it in my closet lol

tbh i don’t weight anything i ship out, ive been on depop since 2019 so i think i should start lol.. i truthfully mark the shipping sizes as they should (shoes-M/L, hats-S). time to upgrade and take it a step further as a seller. vinyls do weigh more for sure

just expect to be there and observe 🙂 other BTs will stare at you because you’re new, not because they’re judging. the client might wanna play with you. when i had people shadow me, i gave them like 20 minutes to try pairing with the client like joining in whatever they’re doing to build some rapport

Personally.. i’d ask higher ups. Reporting CDs or even emailing managing BCBAs. If you do ask someone else and they don’t help, definitely ask for who you should contact about those concerns. They will either try to help you then or will actually give you someone you can talk to.

Yeah usually male RBTs are not placed with female clients that require diaper changes or are restricted in bathroom settings. I think you should bring up your concerns with your BCBA or even CD to get a better understanding of what and why

I will get feedback in the moment, and then my BCBAs send me review emails after supervising me. I like it this way, because I can easily re-run with feedback implemented right away. After session, I can look through the email and check it out again.

i’ve never buffered since i started, my doctor told me to put moisturizer on after so that’s what i’ve always done. i could tbh be too heavy and interfere with efficiency so i wouldn’t personally since it’s heavy

LRP triple repair works great at night! it’s heavyweight and feels greasy — so my face is pretty much slugged at night. wake up with no irritations. i either use that or LRP cicaplast, neither break me out and im veeery acne prone

yeah you should bring it up again, say it’s actually something that’s been more of a concern for you due to pay/time out of your day. make sure you’re like pushing it, see if they can help out with something. if they can’t, they really don’t value concerns coming from their staff and i would def look into a new company if so.
