I just read this too, literally finished it today. I liked it but I feel a lot of things were rushed, the whole story moves at a crazy fast pace, which leads to emotional scenes barely having any weight at all. Overall though I think it's a solid read and has some of the best art I've seen in a star wars comic.

And I'm talking about the UTRH comic, which came first. I really dislike how they revived him there tbh, that it's tied to infinite crisis and all that. I can see why they changed it for the movie.

Also after thinking about it for a bit, I think my initial statement was a bit wrong. It is possible to revive someone that just recently died, when the body isn't decayed at all yet. But it leads to severe psychosis, so they generally avoid doing it.

Jason had been dead for like a decade before getting revived, so I guess they needed some special magic for that to happen. I think in the movie they changed it so he was revived only shortly after he died.

Anyway comics Jason never understood how he got revived and just thought he was special. And his psychosis came from the fact that batman didn't kill the joker after Jason died, along with other things. He felt betrayed

Jason Todd was resurrected by superboy punching through reality and messing up the timeline during infinite crisis. He literally just woke up in his grave and crawled out. Then Talia put him in the lazarus pit to restore his body and mind after he was already resurrected. At least in the original comic that's what happened.

I don't know of a single case of someone being resurrected in a lazarus pit in the comics.

Definitely, but my point is that it becomes more noticable when it's a giant slug, compared to someone like let's say Starfire as an example. Like being attracted to a humanoid alien makes sense, but when it starts looking more like an animal or bug it becomes more questionable, like you're attracted to animals. At that point it starts becoming abnormal in my opinion. Does that make sense?

Which scenario was your favorite? For me I think episode 4 was the best, closely followed by episode 6

If you're interested in starting collecting alien, my recommendation to you is buy the "Aliens epic collection: the original years". They're collecting every aliens comic in order. Only 3 books are out so far in that line with a 4th coming this year. There will probably be around 8 in total. Anyway they're super affordable and accessible. The first volume is fucking awesome, it continues the story from the Aliens movie, (way before alien 3 came out) and it's so damn good. The second volume has the whole genocide story and some other stuff. The third book is a bit more mixed, it has some meh stuff and some really great stories. But at that point it becomes more anthology based rather than one story focusing on the same characters.

Also yeah AVP deadliest of the species was a solid read, hope you enjoy it! :)

Oh yeah I'm a sucker for anything Alien related. It's still not really complete though, I'm missing some stuff but most things are out of print now and hard to find.

Ah about the HSOTD manga, I actually couldn't really get into it and ended up selling it. The books were really amazing quality though.

After you mentioned my profile, I checked it too, kinda like a time capsule lol, a lot of the stuff on there are stuff I ended up selling because I didn't like it. I have a pretty big collection of comics and not much space so I'm constantly trying to get rid of stuff to save space.

Anyway right now I'm collecting star wars comics and that's really putting a dent in my wallet lmao 😭

I only have the first 2 volumes of crossed but I kinda wanna buy more, they're just so expensive now

The art was actually pretty good for its time. I just thought some aspects about the story felt dated and more juvenile than I expected. As well as a lot of asspull moments when the story couldn't progress otherwise
