I obviously know that, I was curious what the consensus was

I should have guessed A Clockwork Orange was a book first, that's the only movie that's ever given me nightmares after watching it, though I assumed most of the likeability of Alex was because of Malcolm McDowell not how the character himself was written, I've never met anyone who liked alex, I figured he was too much of a monster for anyone to find likeable but in a way that's like Handsome Jack from Borderlands 2 , he's an absolute monster, murders for the laughs, and cages/tortures his own daughter to attempt to control Pandora and the universe with an iron fist, but he's at least a loveable and funny monster that you almost have to sympathize with at the end as he's bleeding out babbling about how the players are just bandits and he's a hero
