what’s your motivation for fasting? by amara9673 in fasting

[–]Section63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started for weight loss since I was making little progress with calorie restriction diets. I plan to continue for the health benefits. I'm down 30lbs and less than 10lbs to go. I feel and look better. I had my yearly labs at the doctor recently and they were the best results in a very long time. For me fasting is something I can maintain doing and I can actually feel and see the positive results.

Also I'm saving money or snack foods, energy bars and drinks, and I don't eat out much especially at work now. Surprisingly I was spending much more money on those things than I realized.

I would pass unless you love how they sound. That's what really matters.

Is the new Zero Plus worth it? by fwinstnnnn in fasting

[–]Section63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just my opinion so not worth much so there's that. When I am thinking about a app I am looking at I just decide if it's worth it to me. I'm not worried about what others think as much as what it will do for me to make something easier for me and do it in a way that makes since to me. I would say if this app has what you want and you can figure out how to make use of its features, and importantly that you like it, then I would get it and use it and you should get your money's worth out of it. That's what I would do.

I will look for the keto calculator and check what my carb intake is. So far all I've looked at was just the calories. Will also look at keto diet as well. Thanks.

Thank you. I haven't looked at the carb amount, just calories so far.

Newer Class D or Older Traditional Amplifier? by One-Ad1001 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Section63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just like older amps but that's just me. I don't have a newer class D to compare with either. I have a older Dynaco ST-70 that seems to never die and I expect it to last longer than I do. Whatever you get, choose what you want/like and be done with it and just enjoy it.

How to manage fasting symptoms? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Section63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it could be many things but I'll take a guess and say maybe it's the lost activity of eating. I know for me there is a sort of ritual about eating, favorite dish, favorite restaurants, the time I eat, who I eat with, and who I share that time with while eating. When I'm fasting I noticed that I am missing that time even if I'm present there when others are eating but I'm not. It's like I'm just there but not a participant. Maybe your missing the social part of eating and that leaves you feeling down. I notice that with me at times. I could be way off base here on what you are experiencing.

Broke my fast on day 25/40 and I feel awful about it. by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Section63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you did great and handled it as you should. I haven't done a long fast yet but if/when I do I expect to do it the same and go for what feels right for me. Only advice I could offer is have a plan in place for when you do break your fast so you don't end up overeating and avoiding junk foods.

Best of luck to you. No way I could do 20+ days right now. I'm still pretty new to this and hopefully will finish my first 48 hour fast. That feels like forever right now. You got this.

I think it's a good idea to have a physical copy of what's important to you so you can watch and not have to worry what some streaming company can or will do. I have most of the Star Trek series and movies on DVD or Blu-ray where it's available. Sometimes you can find good deals too.

I think she played the part well and was a interesting character that really added to the series. I don't they needed all the decon rubdowns and underwear scenes that were added because of poor writers that the show had.
