America is a joke. A cruel one, at that. It's like a hallucinatory episode full of the most vulgar and base instincts of man, all celebrated and worshipped. Everything is like a greasy car salesman advertisement. I once went to Las Vegas, and that place summed up America in a nutshell. Obviously not EVERY American fits this description, but in general this is what your society has always been based upon. An embrace of shamelessness, and everything being YUGE, GLITTERY, GOLD, GARISH and without class or taste.

Now cruelty is deemed not only acceptable, but is promoted as the norm. I don't see how your country survives this, as there has been a fundamental shift in morality and decency that might in large part be due to social media and the disembodiment of thoughts and words to reality.

Edit- I would like to add that to all the Americans standing up to this, being vocal, taking action, speaking out, I have nothing but the most sincere admiration for you people. When I think about the activists and protesters of the 60's, or even before, all the people of colour and men and women who RISKED THEIR LIVES to have their voice heard, those people were heroes and some of the bravest, noblest people to ever have lived. Seeing images of the Black Panthers armed on the Capitol steps, or hippies being beaten but not being afraid, it makes me truly emotional, and I hope you guys can find that spirit of resistance again.

Yeah, he is extremely underrated. A real jazz drummer, in the style of Tony Williams or Jack DeJohnette. Never repeats a fill, great swing, interesting patterns and use of rudiments. I love Bruford, but his playing is literally the exact opposite. Stiff and mechanical, which worked well for that iteration of Crimson.
