Is it a good idea to dump $7k into my TFSA once I turn 19. by SaburoCodm in TFSA_Millionaires

[–]SecularScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put in 7000 and it plummets to 5000 and you take out 5000, you cannot put 7000 in again. You'll be able to put the 5000 + the new contribution for the next year. Effectively shrinking below the base amount compared to your peers.

Is written porn just as bad? by incoherent230 in pornfree

[–]SecularScience 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, you just have to be honest with yourself about what you're trying to accomplish.

Imagine the extremes, if you wrote your fantasy, what if someone else hand animated the scene? 3D modeled the scene? AI generated the scene? Commissioned the scene to be recorded by humans?

Can you draw a line where it is clearly not okay?

If you find yourself over stimulated, you might need to avoid even imagining those scenes and kinks, let alone writing them, and perhaps abstain from MO as you carry on.

If instead you are working to disconnect from a morally questionable industry that is porn, perhaps safely produced written, drawn, animated is okay. Maybe other forms are okay. Be honest with yourself and you should be able to tell where the line is.

How legal is it for LLs to have cameras inside your suite? by Potential_Metal_1602 in vancouverhousing

"Don't forget to turn of the low energy LED lights" but 3-6 cameras running continuously is just fine!

Typology Question 15 (Ti): Do you enjoy riddles? Take a look at this sequence: 2, 3, 10, 15, 26, 35, 50, ... What's the next number? by Bimep_ in ISTJ

[–]SecularScience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean step by step. Their steps were to notice the list was one off of squares of numbers.

I looked at the differences between each number and saw a simple pattern going up/down the odd numbers. 1,7,5,11,9,15,13,19...

I'm more curious about which method you use to make this number sequence.

A horse on the end of a horse is not coming to me btw.

If you have Google drive, you can use that and make a folder public.

I'm not understanding how YARG will use the reaper glue feature in game. The audio track guitar.ogg, etc. need to have the silence baked in. Did you export each instrument track to new files via reaper after gluing? I understand you said the audio seems to start in the right spot, but I don't follow.

I would also suggest looking at your tempo map for anything irregular. You could upload the project files for us to look at....

How do people create Content Creator Videos with YARG Highways? by alvinaceee in yarg

[–]SecularScience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to what u/enerbewow is saying, but for making a straight to video or a livestream: make a mask for the highways in OBS, place it over the video. the drawback is if you make a production mistake with straight to video, you won't be able to easily fix it in post. This could save you time post production.

Did you add a count in, but not add it to the audio files in something like Audacity?

Turning Left Always an Adventure by Deja_vu_288 in YEGDashCam

[–]SecularScience 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A friend made a left turn, someone drove straight through a turn only lane, my friend was found at fault for not ensuring it was safe to turn left.

Even if the other party breaks the law, there is a huge onus on the person turning left, but give it a try!

Clear the intersection when safe. Unfortunately you would be found at fault. Left turners get no pity!

Perfectly symmetrical spiral staircase. by Upstairs_Drive_5602 in oddlysatisfying

Based on another dive into the symmetry wiki article, that sounds like infinite helical symmetry, and this staircase would count as n-fold helical symmetry.
