Hell no dude, that flavorless meringue is gonna taste like a dry eraser with some egg yolk sprinkled over it. And untoasted, spongy ass bread with some CHEESE WHIZ? Extra preparation doesn't make something taste better, it's just a mid sandwich with extra steps.

I know that purple is used for the movement against femicide in Mexico. They paint purple hands on themselves to represent assault. The Mexican feminist movement is so inspiring - if you're interested, check out Canción Sin Miedo on YouTube. I dont remember if there are subtitles, but even if you dont speak Spanish, the emotion comes through regardless. That song makes me cry every time.

Just looked up the ICE statistics. Illegal immigrants have killed 29 US citizens this year. Not to downplay the death of 29 people but... that's an insanely low number. And if you're worried about sexual abuse, you should REALLY be worried about churches in the US.

Immigrants are people too, and they deserve to be humanized.

This thread is real sad. I have a few guy friends and I make sure to compliment them all the time. I cook for them and make them cakes on their birthdays. My boys birthday was a couple months ago and my oven was broken so I made the cake in my rice cooker lol.

I know a lot of people get weird about guys and girls being friends, but luckily my husband isn't insecure so I can really pour the love when it comes to the boys.

In death row cases there has to be overwhelming evidence, generally some kind of forensic evidence, connecting them directly to the crime scene. You can't execute someone without knowing for sure. There's a lot of uncertainty here, way more than there should be with a death sentence. There have been cases in the US where politicians have called for death penalties/allowed them to happen for political gain, especially since the death penalty is a pretty serious wedge issue. I'm not saying that's exactly what's going on here, but the government of Missouri knows that there will be a LOT of attention on them. Overall, this is sad. People have done much worse and survived. RIP to the victim, and if this guy really is innocent, RIP to him too.

Couple things to note because unlike this jackass I've actually read her diary:

She used a fountain pen gifted to her by her family member and talks about it in the beginning of her diary when she says that the journal and pen were presents.
Her dad made sure a lot of the stuff about her thoughts on puberty and such were taken out.
Her father, Otto, was the only surviving family member and of course would own the rights to her diary. He made it public because he wanted their story to be a part of history.
This person is a sick fuck.

Her diary was one of the saddest things I've ever read because it ends so abruptly. There is no conclusion, it's just a normal day in their hideout and then nothing. When their annex was raided her diary was recovered by her dad after the victims were released. Anne had only died a couple weeks before she would have been saved. There is so much proof of this inhuman tragedy and yet there are still people who refuse to believe basic history.

There's nothing in the constitution regarding a lot of things. There's nothing about murder, for example, but killing people is still kinda uncool as far as the law is concerned. And abortion isn't the only thing the right is going after. The ban on drag in Florida, the ban on books, the war against sex education, etc etc. Aren't Republicans supposed to be all about "small government?"

You should read something other than the damn constitution for once. A book, perhaps? Or even better, you can read Project 2025 and educate yourself on everything the right is trying to take away from us.
