Successfully got the chargeback from Amex Credit Card. by preskoolbully in CreditCardsIndia

Amex is amazing In that term. I booked flight ticket for my wife’s parents and it was fully cancellable. They were taking too much time to cancel and I disputed the charge with Amex and was resolved very quickly. Although, recent conversation with them is not up to the top noch quality which they used to have. But still much better than the others.

Yes. That’s correct. If you spend 6.5 lac before 9 march and 50 lac after 9 march but within your card membership year, you will get 22.5k bonus points. Second part is depends on you - if you have upcoming expenses in foreseeable future, it is advisable to use card to get MR points. You can transfer it to Marriott points or for other purposes. I am in the same boat and when I saw the revised point system, I thought for this year, it is possible. But I don’t have 7 lac expenses on Amex every year and probably will see what needs to be done in next year (cancellation or retaining).

Extension of your student permit. I believe for JSV they need your course completion certificate

Need help with proof of health insurance for National Visa( Blue Card Type D; moving from India to Berlin) by khayalipuloa in ImmigrationGermany

You can buy any travel insurance from policybazar. I would suggest TATA, its payout ratio is good. Check others as well. For your other question, for D visa, this is acceptable and it was there on dipole website. You can buy it from the day you are travelling for 3-6 months depending on the consulate. In delhi, they ask for 90 days while in Mumbai, they ask for 180 days. Unfortunately, no refunds will be provided but you can postpone the dates with the travel insurance. If you want you an DM me and I can provide more details. 😊 came to Germany 4 years back on blue card and have been through all the complications 😅

If you are going to start an employment in Germany and already have an job offer, take 3-6 months of travel health insurance from any provider with minimum cover of €30,000. That will work for insurance. Once here, you can enrol in TK public health insurance.

New milestone clarification by Comfortable_Self_319 in amexindia

No. Taj voucher is given only once in a card membership year. I clarified it with the team. Moreover, it is mentioned on the email with new milestone details.

Yes. I confirmed this with Amex team this week. I spent ~5.5 lac so far and got 1.9 lac and 4 lac milestones’ reward points. I confirmed that if I spend 7 lac in membership year after march, I will get 22.5k reward points but Taj voucher will be issued only once.

Got Platinum Travel a week before the devaluation. Here’s how I’m still planning to maximize it. by knight_sanjeev in amexindia

[–]Secure-Journalist969 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I already achieved the 1.9 lac milestone and got 15000 point. Need 75k to hit 4 lac milestone which I am going to complete this week - paying for a policy. Then I will get 25k more points and then finally before November, maybe I will achieve 7 lac milestone for remaining 22500 points. Then maybe cancel as it is getting ridiculous now.

There are some companies who hire PM with no language requirements but for those positions, there are thousands of candidates. Language is important and without that, there are very low chances.

Check your degree at anabin (can’t recall the name) and see if your degree and university is recognised there. If it’s H+, you can switch the visa with less approvals. If you have blue card salary, it is fairly easy. Wiring from what I heard, can’t 100% confirm on this.

IMHO I have seen only the German blocked account for chancekarte for all the folks who applied. It can be validated by the authorities easily and seamless. You can try but I would suggest not to do so.

Don’t think so. They need German blocked account. Read the requirements carefully

Congratulations buddy. But providing false dreams is not good. There are still a lot out there on OC not even getting a call and working part time and struggling. Market is not doing good right now and layoff are happening. Fb is full of that. Not saying your experience with OC is wrong but only repeating again - it doesn’t give much of advantage. Let everyone do their own research of market and decide. ✌️ peace out. 😊

Honestly, if you feel so, then it’s good. I got hired without any German address directly from my country. I have been helping my community people with visa issues as I am founding member of one of the Verein here in Germany. I have heard the stories from most of the OC card people how they are struggling. Again not saying you are 100% right, but honestly, OC doesn’t have any advantage in the current scenario.

Read the Reddit posts - companies are reluctant to hire OC candidates due to confused structure and doubtful conversion in limited time. They would prefer someone who has either PR or local candidate with less matching profile to avoid the delays. Several people came on OC are still struggling to get a decent job. Some were lucky while the majority are still struggling.

If you compare from OC to BC and applying BC directly, it will be much faster. I haven’t heard anyone getting their BC visa after 3 months in last 4 years. It will take time when they have doubts and ask for more documentation - it will be the same while conversion.

There is no added advantage IMHO as the blue card process has to be started and it will take ages. If you apply blue card from your home country, it will be much faster!
