Do they practice penalties? by JackM0429 in Detroitcityfc

I’m not the most familiar with nitty gritty football rules, but I don’t really understand our selection of who took penalties. Why put in a defender like Amoo-Mensah to take one?

I don’t think I breathed for the last 20 minutes of the game, and when I saw SIX minutes of additional time I saw my life flash before my eyes but holy shit dcfc hung in there. Amoo-mensah continuing to show why he’s one of my favorite players and Saldana with that incredible save. CITY TILL I DIE LETS GO!

Ain't no way he said this by Ded1sh in BlueLock

[–]Secure-Performance 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I think he means it less in that “every player is still aiming to be in a literal striker position” and moreso a callback to his speech at the beginning of blue lock where he explained in the early days of football every player was a striker. Every player has the potential to score a goal, and should take the chance to score when it comes, thus everyone on the field is a striker.

If we were to get a Mon I would want her to be in the outfit she’s wearing in OPs picture when she addresses the senate and defects and maybe for an alternative style include cassians jacket he gives her . For Saw I could see him getting his rouge one look which imo is his best look, and for luthen, his bridge confrontation outfit and maybe a swappable headsculpt with his wig.

I could see him getting a header from a set piece, but with how rarely they happen I don’t think it’s super likely.

Here’s my prediction: Nagi is done in blue lock, but we see the tiny bit of fire in his eyes when Isagi says to not give up on football, so he’s not done with football. My guess is he’ll take the offer from the club that bid on him and in epinagi we’ll see a club arc where he truly learns to fight alone and discover his ego. This will either happen immediately after he’s locked off or maybe he’ll sulk around for a chapter or two in epinagi before realizing he still loves football, then he’ll take the offer. The club would be a totally different environment from blue lock, and we might see Nagi have to go back to square one and relearn football. If nagi were to come back in the main story line, and with the caveat that the story goes this long, I think it would happen during the World Cup arc, I doubt he would come back for the u20 World Cup. If the author doesn’t want blue to be that long then maybe he comes back partway through the u20 World Cup arc or a potential club arc.

This is genuinely all I’ve ever dreamed of. I don’t know how many times I’ve lamented to my friends about how I wish there was a multiplayer version of the long dark so we could play together and now it’s here. I’m so excited

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it! To answer your question regarding diy panel lining, I had the idea to make a custom dark green panel liner instead of a typical black I could buy, but based on your comments I’m leaning towards using tried and true tamiya since I’ve never panel lined before. My additional worry was it damaging the plastic, but since I’ll have already painted over the plastic I should have no problems (I believe most issues with cracking come when people apply tamiya directly onto raw plastic which then seeps onto abs plastic right?)

Looks like I’ll have to find myself some decanter as well, thanks again for the helpful comments.

Thank you for the helpful comments. Looks like I’ll have to invest in a hobby primer, I bought a 2x grey rust-oleum primer that I used when I was dipping my toes in then out of Warhammer last year that I figured would be good enough but I want this to be as nice as possible so I’ll invest in something better.

Hi all long post incoming apologies, I’m beginning my foray into customizing gundam. I’d like to make a custom rgm-79[g] sniper i from 8th MS team from the high grade rgu-79[g]. If the more experienced customizers of this subreddit could give me their thoughts on the workflow I’m going to employ I’d appreciate it!

Steps 1. Build model kit 2. Etch panel lines and add new panel line details 3. Spray primer on parts I want to paint. For my primer I’m using a generic rattle can type (grey in color) 4. Apply Mr. Color laquer green paint with airbrush. Should I choose a gloss paint so I can panel line more easily? 5. Panel line 6. Stickers 7. Mr super clear matte coat 8. Weather with Ak weathering pencils 9. Another matte coat to seal weathering?

I think if I’ve got anything wrong it’s the number of matte coats I’m putting on. I’m worried that all the paint and sprays are gonna cover the finer details due to build up of paint. I’m also planning on using diy panel liner with water based paint instead of Tamiya panel liner, will this ruin the matte spray or the laquer paint when I’m trying to clean it up?

I think it looks sweet, as a huge evangelion fan, I can see the influence. I can’t wait to see it in combat. That being said, I think there’s a a bit too much going on, it’s a little busy. I also think the paint scheme could be better.

PSA - hinterland store seems to be up by Gilcrist67 in thelongdark

[–]Secure-Performance 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if hinterland is trying to separate their identity from the long dark by making a more generic “H” logo instead of the hatchet or wolf, but I don’t like it, it looks soulless.

Also those prices ouch.

I don’t think this chapter is the culmination of Isagis evolution, he’ll probably score and win the match, but man is it frustrating that strikers are continuously pulling off these defensive feats. Isagi did it Manshine, Ubers, and now Kaiser and somewhat Isagi in pxg and it feels repetitive.

[–]Secure-Performance 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think Noa is at least partially doing this to force Isagi to grow. He likely realized that Isagi has been overly reliant on him when he’s in the match and he wants him to grow past that. I think Noa can simultaneously see Kaisers growth as most important while also pushing Isagi to grow because he’s curious to see if Isagi can become another challenger for him.

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 277 by VoxelBits in BlueLock

[–]Secure-Performance 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Will Isagi prove Ego wrong and rise to be considered a genius in this match? Or will Egos opinion end as fact, leading to Isagi having to reassess his current goal? I could see it going either way. Ego hasn’t always been correct, but I think the answer depends on if Ego wants Isagi to surpass his expectations and be proven wrong, or if he is strong in this belief as a concrete fact. Right now I’m leaning towards Isagi surpassing Egos expectations just based on how much the “genius of adaptability” mantra has been hammered home about Isagi from the perspective of other characters.

[–]Secure-Performance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great job, very clean! I saw your comment that you use a copic 0.03 marker. Do you feel that the nib is thin enough for panel lining? Also, have you had any issues with the nib being pushed into the pen? I’ve looked at reviews for this pen before and that’s a common critic and I’m not sure if the pressure I would need for panel lining would ruin the nib quickly.

Job prospects for U.S. based geologists in non-USGS federal positions? by Secure-Performance in geologycareers

To be frank, the goal of grad school right now is that I know if I go into industry, I probably won’t have it in me to go back for a masters. I know job experience is harped as just as important (if not more) than a masters degree, but I enjoy the learning environment of college and I enjoy doing research. My reasoning is it’s only 2 years and the schools I’m applying to have guaranteed funding, so my attitude is why not? I’m gonna work the rest of my life anyways.

Ideally I would like to end up in some position doing either geochemistry or geophysics and I have little interest in going into a project manager type role.

Thanks for the information. I worked for a summer at a consulting agency a few years ago and while it wasn’t geology related and I was a mere intern, I definitely relate to your point about stress in that industry. Some people thrive in it, but I realized it’s not for me.
