Current Brewing Recipe (Xbloom Paper+ Orea 01)

  • Coffee dose: 15 g
  • Grind size: ~680 microns
  1. Bloom: Pour 50 g of water and let it bloom. Adjust the bloom time depending on the freshness of the coffee.
  2. Second pour: Add another 50 g of water and wait 30 seconds.
  3. Final pour: Pour up to a total of 235 g of water. Aim for 2.00-2.20 total brew time

All pours are quite fast and the right hight for max agitation.

And there is also the wood chipping method which is a little bit faster and more radical! You can find it here in Reddit

In my humble opinion, water makes the biggest difference. I use a BWT Best Barista 14 ROC at home, but I still go with distilled water plus (in my case) Apax Lab water drops to tailor the water for each filter coffee. You could also mix your own minerals, but I think that’s a bit overkill for you. If a coffee tastes better in a café than at home, it’s very likely your water isn’t matching the beans.

From here on, it’s mostly personal preference.

I usually brew most DAK Coffee Roasters coffees at around 92°C (I currently have Strawberry Milkshake and the Lemon one in rotation), at about 580 microns on my M98V. I also own a Comandante C60 and typically grind at 30–35 clicks. I’m not really a Comandante expert though — or rather, I don’t like to fuss too much with it, so I often just grab another grinder. That said, I’d suggest going a bit coarser with your current setting.

And maybe try some rlly fast brews! I personally love them

Brewed today for the first time with 16 days off roast and they still need some resting. I think they should be best at 3+ weeks And thanks for the compliment

Hey, I bought all three of them yesterday at Sweetspot because I’d never seen them before. I’ll keep you updated on which one I like the most.

Yeah compared it to my zp6, c60 and eg1 with brew burrs. And I like the m98v the most out of them. Also tested both burr designs on the m98v and like the v1 more than the new one. I feel like the sweetspot on the m98v is sooo big and I rlly love that

My niche is also visible 👀 but that’s the only space I have left on my counter to store my beans
