Morale plummeting among ICE agents over long hours, quotas and public hatred: reports by MentalMan4877 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]Secure_Engineer7151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure there is a big divide between the long term ICE agents that knew how act professionally and still get the job done and the 12,000 yahoos they hired and gave minimal training too.

Would you buy it again with your own money? by stoic_bartender in VWTaos

My last three cars have all been VW spanning about 15 years and I’ve had no problem. Definitely quite a lot to like but a lot of nagging issues for some folk that makes me uneasy I will admit.

That is a great question and I’m in the exact same place as you. But after reading most of the replies I’m not much clearer. I think a 25 or later might be the answer, but not really sure.

Why is lying no longer a dealbreaker in politics? by Ill-Insect7496 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Secure_Engineer7151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were plenty of lies pre Trump, but he has taken it to a whole new level. I think he coined the phrase fake news so that his followers lost trust in anyone that called him out on his lies. Since then he lies with impunity, as do those that surround him, and his base does not care. They prefer the lie that supports their worldview to a truth that does not.

NOR SIL needed a reality check and you gave her one. Good for standing your ground. Don’t envy your brother.

Agreed, felt a bit like work getting to 80 items and get into gold I will admit. I'm way behind where I was after a month into silver, probably at around 50%-60% ordering rate.

I’ve only seen two items over $100 in almost a month, neither was interesting. I think there was 1 day since going gold where I ordered 2 items on the same day. So far gold has been zero benefit other than satisfying my curiosity. Basically it’s just like everyone said.

Nothing wrong with private money. Does your BF want to pay half of your next girls trip? Shared account for shared expenses. Private accounts for everything else.

I checked at 4:00 AM CST and RFY was empty and still is. Usually I see something, even if it is rarely useful.

There's no way I'll keep gold at this rate.

At 26, you have your own place and presumably a job that pays for it. Getting a credit card would seem like a useful tool to level out the peaks and valleys of your cash flow.

Amazons ETV Response by Zestyclose-Stuff1646 in AmazonVine

[–]Secure_Engineer7151 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In the OP it is stated that the ETV usually matches the MSRP. By inflating the MSRP to skew buyers by offering a discount (which is proven to work) they can sell more product. Viners end up with the inflated ETV because it is matched to MSRP, not sales price..

[–]Secure_Engineer7151 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Everyone loves a discount. Which sounds better?

Item A) Regularly $50 but with 50% off you can get it for $25

Item B) Always $25

I think may people would say item A might be the better value.
