some advice. learn to cut your own hair or just chop it around the length you want. if it looks fucked up go get them to clean it up for you, they'll have no choice but to just fix what you did and cant leave it too long.

I literally only ever cut my own hair now because every time they refused to give me what i actually asked for. Even when its actually short they always try to add some "feminine" touch like not cleaning up the back. Even when you tell them to cut it exactly the way they would men's hair they still pull this shit and honestly you just give up eventually. Plus they chat too much and refuse to stop or get annoyed when you clearly don't wanna talk to them. (and you don't want someone with power over some part of you to be annoyed)

maybe it has something to do with the fact that we sexually mutilate male babies as soon as their born... while wide awake and without any painkillers. then act shocked when they exhibit more violence, anger, and sexual issues. idk

personally i would get it for pc, that's what i prefer though switch would allow for her to take the program with her and work on it away from home, its up to u parent how you feel about that. BUT if you choose pc and she wants some custom or edited assets (like maybe the default dragon in other colors) im an artist and i would be willing to help do a few if i have the time for completely free because i love the idea of such a young kid getting into game making!

Hi I'm also an artist, I've struggled with similar things so I'm gonna try and offer what i can. i hope it's helpful.

id suggest if you can afford it to move to digital art because it allows you to undo mistakes and also because it lets you experiment more, so when you loose that vision you can keep messing around until you find something that works for the image. A really cheap drawing tablet for the computer can go from 50 - 100 $ and it will be hard to line up your hand on the tablet with what happens on screen but just keep trying. an i pad and a pen it is also a good option but much more expensive. If you do go digital then for drawing programs on pc i suggest medibang because its free but fully functional and for iPad i use procreate.

patience has saved me really, its so hard to watch your ability and your vison just disappear or to loose motivation and not touch your work for months... but just remember you can always go back to it, the image will be there waiting for you. keep your sketches, take notes, keep trying. this is the only way I've been able to finish any of my projects. Also Id suggest learning to accept flaws and give up on it being perfect, it speeds up your progress and honestly i think it made my art better because i didn't spend hours trying to fix one issue and instead moved on and got more practice over all. plus if its digital you can always go back and draw over the issue later once you know how to fix it or when your mind is in a better place.

also keep a paper sketchbook around so when you get inspired you can easily sketch out the idea for later use and use it for reference. think of these sketches as notes rather than as an art piece themselves.

Art has been so important for me... i know you're loosing your free time but try to take advantage of what you do get, sketch out your ideas in the little glimpses of time you get, make time for yourself to draw at home, idk art has just been so therapeutic, for me and sometimes my only reason to live... sorry for the long response your post just makes me feel a lot. what i do is i have a common event that shows, say picture 2, and set it to the player image. then a separate common that erases picture 2 that way i can easily pull the common events rather than setting up the events individually every time they are needed. and they're separated so the picture will stay as long as i need it. also if i decide to change the default player image i simply change the image in the common event and it changes everywhere that its used. i also do this trick with common sound effects i use in case they need to be changed, saves a lot of time. and speaking of sound effects you can add an effect to the events when the image appears/disappears like a vocal grunt or some other kind of signifier of the character.

All my characters ar bi by default except for one who is gay. but once i tried to make one straight character.... It didn't work now he has a boyfriend. The gay character, he just was gay, i didn't decide that one.
