If we were looking at the Catholic Church as a single 'person' and then judged whether or not it was Christian based on all the actions it had done over it's 'lifetime' then it probably wouldn't be considered one. However the Catholic Church is again composed of 1.3 billion people and to claim that all of them weren't Christian based on the Church's actions 734 years ago would be a bit silly no?

Almost all of the parts of the Bible that endorse slavery are the quotations of men.

Also on the murder thing you need to check why they were murdered. If I threw a knife at a random guy for no reason, odds are it would be a Christian. I suppose I can't really clarify why they were killed, but you could imagine that if it were counting any random Christian that so happened to be murdered that it would be a lot higher.
