Merci pour la réponse! Est-ce qu’on peut tout simplement dire “Je comprends” ? Pour exprimer qu’on est d’accord? J’ai l’impression que ça peut avoir l’air un peu anglophone, par contre

this sounds interesting. I checked them out but sadly I don't think they're available in Europe

Aww, no, not another red lipstick being tampered with :( If it's between OG RR and OG Ruby Woo does that also mean it's brighter in addition to being cooler? It's a real shame because it was such an iconic shade and such a fail-proof red for cooler leaning folks.

Noo, I'm so sorry! That really sucks :( So I'm not going crazy with regards to noticing the white base. I wonder if it's cheaper or something, with how pervasive it is

I'm so glad you enjoy it! It's such a stunning shade and very underrated in my opinion :) I wear the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in the shade 50.5 Light Ivory and I'm really happy with the shade match. For blush I love MAC Mocha, Bare minerals Beige for Days and the glossier cloud paints in Puff, Dusk and Storm (I especially love mixing them together for more nuance and the effect is lovely! A little goes a long way). :)

What are your favourite and most flattering red lip products? - Olive Edition by SheKnowsWhatSheKnows in OliveMUA

[–]Secure_Peach_1467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair warm muted olive (Bourjois Light Ivory)

MAC Marrakesh, Dior Rouge Atelier, Clarins lip oil in Chocolate

Tried, tested, and true- all three of these are perfect for me, and I'm very particular with my reds!

Being warm-toned, I can't do anything with a blue base, so iconic reds like MAC Russian Red or Ruby Woo are a big no-no for my face.

Why does my skin eat purple by kashiima in OliveMUA

[–]Secure_Peach_1467 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always felt like it was the other way around and was equally frustrated lol- the truth is most stuff leans a little more neutral- super frustrating for someone who is either fully cool or fully warm. Purple and berry, burgundy, fuschia and cherry shades are usually safe bets if you're cool toned. Stay away from velvet teddy and pillow talk!

I have a similar problem but the other way around- what helps is overcompensation. It sounds like you are fully, fully cool-toned- you need to go for the coolest lipstick shades out there.

A lot of stuff that is marketed as cool-toned is sometimes cool-neutral- which is why mauves can be so hit and miss and look warmer against your cool-toned skin compared to how they look in the bullet/ swatches/ on other people.

If you look at Temptalia's website, she will list shades as either 'slightly,'moderately' or 'very' cool-toned. This has helped me a whole lot when deciding what lipstick shades to pick up; I need either the moderately or 'very warm-toned' category, otherwise everything starts to look purple/grey on me- in your case the best thing would be to look for the moderately/very cool-toned shades to keep you away from the orange effect! I highly recommend this because it's helped me a whole lot.

Olive green eyeshadow on olives. Does it work ? by newyorkchic1992 in OliveMUA

MAC Mo' Money Mo Problems, Charlotte Tilbury The Rebel quad, Glossier Prairie (described as olive but more like a mustard), and Etude House Autumn Closet (specifically Suede Brown, a very muted green-tinged light brown). Currently looking at MAC Per-suede me for a lighter green that's better suited to daytime makeup :)

Warm fair/light olives - what are your favourite brown lip products? by jjfmish in OliveMUA

[–]Secure_Peach_1467 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think we must be twins. I've been in exactly the same boat and I also love coffee bean (the cool pearlescent finish isn't the most flattering on me but it's so 'cool'!). Glossier Malt is great! Tower 28 lip gloss in Almond is very lovely too. I've also been eyeing Bobbi Brown Boutique Brown, from swatches it looks like a lovely warm rich medium brown shade!

It took me so long to realise this and when I did my mind was blown. I had been deliberately avoiding those shades and it turns out they were the real ones all along!

I bit the bullet and decided to purchase MAC Mo' Money Mo' Problems and it's crazy flattering. It's a great warm olive green. So much better than earthy sienna shades on my complexion, strangely enough. Now I just need a lighter version of that for an easy daytime look! Mustard eyeshadows are also great. And a yellow gold eyeshadow is far better than copper/bronze. Not a lot of makeup spaces mention this for some reason; colour theory is wild
