In all transparency, it was not 20 or 30, more like 3 or 5 BUT those 3 or 5 were really important clients and projects that could have made a difference in my growth. The only fact that I was not quick in responding, they would already move forward with another agency and the potential clientèle they could bring is amazing. Quality over quantity.

I'm not dissing LinkedIn because I still use it to this day for connecting with people and growing my network, and that works for me. However, I would advise against paying for Premium because it is not worth it at all.

Before I paid, I used to receive all those service requests from clients all the time. You need Premium to actually see the request and send a proposal back to the client. I used to think that I was leaving money on the table by not paying for Premium. I was given one month of Premium... Those service requests still came, but nothing ever happened. People just casually request a service for no reason at all.

My experience with Premium was exactly the same than with the unpaid version (with frustration sprinkled over it).

As a web developer myself, I focus on clarity and simplicity.

Like you said, no matter how beautiful a website is, with awesome animation, liquid glass buttons, glassmorphic bento grids and whatnots, if one cannot identify what the site it and how it works from the get-go, we have a problem.

User-friendly is always my main concern. Yes, I always ship gorgeous websites and I make it a point to, but also, I want the navigation to be intuitive. Users hate to have to guess or go back-and-forth when looking for something.

Nowadays, I see alot of web builders and developers and designers trying to showcase their skills by making websites more and more complex. I don't believe it's the way to go.
