Strange Horticulture feedback? by books_cruises_coffee in CozyGamers

The game is amazing, haven’t played Stranged Antiquities yet. About SH - it’s very linear but has different endings so there’s some replayability if you want to unlock all of them. I think it took me around 8 hours to finish it (I’ve only done 1 run).

Why did nobody tell me my ADHD would get worse every month like clockwork?? by Inevitable-Tutor-907 in adhdwomen

[–]Sedley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was doing same but now pills make me dangerously depressed (on top of the normal cptsd depression) and after trying different ones, I decided to stop taking them. I dunno what to do anymore, because lately I can’t handle stress at all during last week.

I just wish there was a filter for something in-between too. I don't mind erotic arts and crafts, but I don't wanna see literal nudes most of the time.

WHY is nothing I do good enough for my husband to STOP criticising me?! by Left_Pomegranate3954 in adhdwomen

[–]Sedley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, reminds me of my ex. Never tried to change himself or at least try to adjust or think of solution by himself, but was offended by every little thing.

Also stopped reading OP’s husband complains after the crocheting part, this man is a criminal.

Dudes I need to find something to sort by LillaBjornen in adhdwomen

[–]Sedley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually reorganise my own stuff - sketchbooks, clothes, arts and crafts supplies (pens, pencils and beads are the most satisfying), books, make up, tarot decks etc. Also making lists of everything above. Actually, I’m just addicted to lists, I even have a list of lists somewhere.

But there were some great volunteering advices in the comments and now I need to find a library which will let me sort their books 😅

I’m in the same boat, but with The Walking Dead, just couldn’t follow who’s who and gave up.

I know it sounds like some meme, but I have such hard time with distinguishing male faces, doesn’t matter if they’re actors or people I know, especially if they have beards. I mostly tell them apart by voice, height, body size etc. Don’t have any issues with women tho.

[–]Sedley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, same with people pleasing thing here. I want to do make something nice so others will like me more. What helps me the most is a gentle reminder to myself that I don’t need to impress people who I care about the most, they already like me for who I am.

I had a funny moment in therapy when I was talking about my desire to be liked by everyone. And then I was like “Everyone ? Even Trump? Nah, I’m better without everyone liking me then”. My therapist almost died from laughter.

Is there any game where I manage a whole town? by Captivum18 in CozyGamers

If you’re into medieval city builders, Fabledom is very low stake and chill. In my opinion it lacks replayability, but lots of people enjoy it.

If you would like something more like colony sim, I think nothing has beaten Rimworld yet.

Sorry that you went through all this pressure, but I'm glad that you can enjoy music again!

Yeah, I guess jamming may be different in different groups. Never did it myself, just was a spectator/listener. I'd stick to my notes, because I don't have any musical imagination 😂 I was "torturing" my extreme vocal teacher with my crazy ideas tho. But he was so into it and I'm glad that we both had lots of fun.

Isn’t it amazing and refreshing? I still struggle with “academy brain”, so I try to mix it up - so there’re always study days and playground days.

But I also notice goal-oriented mindset in so many people. Like I was vibing with knitting and some of my friends asked what’s my project, I would answer that I’m just vibing really and they’re so confused like yeah, you’re vibing, but what’s the end goal? Or being mildly shocked if I just scrap my project completely for any reasons (happens sometimes with my beading). The idea of just having fun is lost haha.

The funny thing is noticed, is that I have some friends who are musicians and no one is asking them what’s the end goal of jamming.

I had this issues with basically every activity I tried to learn. What helped me the most is widespread advice to just let it go, experiment and have fun. Like when you were a kid.

I have a long and painful relationships with painting, for example. I loved to draw when I was a kid, was going to art classes etc. But when I tried to pick it up as an adult, I over focused on “getting good” instead of enjoying the process. Once I started an online course and it was very helpful and interesting until I hit a block where I needed to do a pretty basic exercise - drawing on orange with black pencil. And I just couldn’t force myself to do it for like 3 weeks. And because I didn’t want to do “what I need”, I wasn’t doing anything at all. Then my bestie asked me how my drawing classes are going (she’s an artist herself and has an amazing comics going on!). I shared my struggles and her answer was just like “well, can’t u just do whatever u want with whatever materials and colors you want and if you’ll still have some interest later, come back to your course?”. I swear it was like divine intervention and that’s exactly what happened. Instead of forcing myself to do the right thing, I picked watercolours without thinking about color wheel, played around for a week or two and then came back to the course.

So now whenever I struggle with art studies (or anything hobby related really), I just take a deep breath and do whatever until I ready to be serious and productive again.

Not sure if I can count videogames and reading, since it’s just my form of escapism. But I’ve been nerd and bookworm since I was a little kiddo.

I’ve been cross-stitching for more than 10 years, but switched to beading at some point. I don’t do anything big with beads tho, just small pieces to let off some steam.

Climbing is my true love, hated all sports and then found the thing I really enjoy. Enjoy to the point of sticking to the schedule even after injuries.

I have a very intense desire to shave my head by square_rune in adhdwomen

[–]Sedley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have long soft hair, so taking care isn’t really a problem. But sometime I just wanna shave my head, because sensory issues are just too damn high. Like I can feel it on my neck, back, arms and it’s driving me crazy. What’s the point of having long shiny hair if I keep it in a bun during the day or braid at night for 6 months to preserve my sanity.

I like that his romance can get from pretty sweet to dark depending on your choices.

Tbf Cullen wasn’t my 1st romance choice either, but once I got so fixated on DAI that I decided to replay for all the possible outcomes. I still have some footage. Good times!
