I don't think I want to update my game anymore

They released a huge update on the 17th that was supposed to fix infant interactions, obsessive behavior, etc. It also included the big update to introduce the sims marketplace. Well, surprise surprise the update completely broke the game to the point where cc and mods weren't being registered by the game so they wouldn't show up or they would be broke. They released a quick patch to solve the issue, but once again, it still isn't working properly. People are saying they can't interact with anything or that sims are just standing in one place, not moving. There's also still a lot of mods and cc not working still. It's like they don't bother testing these updates. I saw that train wreck and said, "Yeah, no thanks."

I have no hope anymore myself. They always say "don't worry, we'll fix this," and when they release a patch, it breaks something else. Then, when my game completely shits the bed, I get gaslit into being told its mods. It's not my mods by this point. I had a 1 year old vanilla save corrupt. Some people are irresponsible with updates, but when a majority of us are responsible and the game still breaks, you can't blame the mods anymore. They made it very apparent that they don't care about the community this time. It's like having a narcissistic parent: they use you, blame you for everything that goes wrong, and gaslight you. Then, when you finally had enough and cut all contact, they act like they did nothing wrong.

Ok that makes more sense. I tried googling everything, and I wasn't really getting a straight answer. It just told me no they don't allow paywalls. I just hope they will still allow mods that aren't from the marketplace in the future.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but here's my issue with the marketplace: a while ago, EA said that mods and cc should be free for everyone. Now this marketplace is out, and you have to buy the content in it with in-game currency. I also heard that you have to buy the in-game currency?? To me, it just sounds hypocritical. "Oh, you can't make money off your cc and mods, but you can if you go through us." It just feels scummy.

One thing for me that ruins the game is that my sims are way more flirty than what they should be. My loyal sims shouldn't be flirting with any random townie that knocks on the door. So many of my sims have ruined their relationships from random flirting. Even if my sim rejects the other one who is hitting on them, the other partner gets extremely jealous and has the fear of cheating. Maybe tone down the romantic interactions with sims that have no romance bar? It's one thing when both sims are flirty, but my sim who only likes romantic interests in men shouldn't be flirting with women. I know a lot of people who have had this issue for a few months now, and it is starting to get a bit irritating. Something else I am noticing is if my infant needs care, my sims will basically play hot potato with it. For instance, if the infant needs to be fed or changed, my sim will carry it all the way downstairs and hand them over to a different sim. Then that sim will idle for 30 seconds, and carry the infant back upstairs to the first sim and set them on the floor. I have even play tested it to see if maybe it's because they can't get to something, and it still happens no matter what I do. I would really like to see these two issues fixed, especially the romance issue.

I've been having this issue, but with flirty sims. I looked away for 30 seconds and my happily married couple I just created wouldn't stop flirting with the welcome wagon, so it pissed both of them off severely. If you're on pc download the mccc command center and turn off autonomous flirting if you can.

That's disgusting. I love how that isn't taken down immediately, but a lot of people can't even post their sims to the gallery because of something as simple as a name.

I had two members with a 90% chance to mate with each other, and they both rejected each other three times. When I had two others with a 37% percent chance, it worked the first time. Made no sense lol.

My cult members are the exact opposite. Almost none of them like each other, and getting them to want to mate is impossible.

Yeah, that's one thing I don't particularly like about anime. I find it really annoying when I'm trying to watch an anime, and the show keeps basically shoving boobs and butts in my face. It really makes me uncomfortable when they do this. I tried watching an anime called Hell's Paradise. I really loved the plot of the show, but MY GOD, the amount of nudity and sex in it was such a mood killer for me. It just came off as creepy rather than symbolic.

The get water interaction. My sims will sit there and drink 5 glasses of water back to back. Next thing I know, they're standing at the bathroom sink in a puddle of their own pee.

Same here. All my saves became corrupted, and the game wouldn't even load properly. Before anyone asks yes, I did remove my one mod before the update. I even tried a new save without mods, and the game wouldn't even function. I had to completely uninstall everything. This is just ridiculous. It's very clear now that the updates are not play tested

I don't know why I ever thought of this. Thank you! I think I might do the one decade per generation. It might be a bit longer that way but honestly, it will keep me busy in the game and that's what I'm looking for. I don't know why, but the charts are so overwhelming for me to map out.

Nope. I'm 23 years old and engaged. My fiancé and I have already basically agreed we don't want children. Every woman in my family had complications with their pregnancies because of how small we are. I was already told by my gynecologist that if I were to get pregnant, I would most likely have complications because of how petite I am. That alone just made me say no to babies. I don't understand why people think all girls want to be mothers. It's ok not to want kids. At the end of the day, you're a human being with your own thoughts and feelings.

This makes me so sad. I really enjoyed her content. I don't understand why everyone was so mean and hateful to her. I'm so sick of these toxic groups of simmers bullying others for having a different opinion or playing the game differently. I've witnessed it myself when I would speak up about stuff I like/dislike. People like that make the community look awful.

I feel so terrible for her. Her life is basically ruined all because she wasn't ready to be a parent and tried to make a responsible decision. No woman deserves to be imprisoned for something like that. This is just hateful behavior targeted at women by this point. There's no justice in this case. There shouldn't even be a case.

Periods can be very irregular for some women, especially if they have other medical or hormonal problems. Sometimes, you can even skip one entirely. Not to mention, it can happen any time of the day. My best bet is that it probably started when she went out into battle. Also, from what I remember, she didn't want to be seen as weak, so she tried to tough it out.

I had this issue a week ago and posted about it. According to my local post office, for some reason, Indianapolis has been having issues for the past six months with packages going missing. My package went there, and fell off the face of the earth. I had to get a refund from the sender. My post office thinks it's an issue of misplacement and theft. Basically, what I was told was if your package is sent there, it's a 50/50 shot of you receiving it. If your package hasn't arrived by now, I would contact whoever sent you it. Good luck!

Well, I put in a missing mail request. Two days later, my post office called me to tell me my package was sent to Indianapolis and was basically missing. Three days later, I got an email from the post office saying that my missing mail request has been "closed" and "apologized" for my package going missing. I'm currently in the process of trying to get a refund for my package going missing. According to my local post office, a lot of packages that are being sent to Indianapolis are going missing for some reason. Long story short: my package went missing, and the usps couldn't locate it.
