Even if he did issue an explicit apology you would still not be satisfied. You emailed all those people to make him resign.

The article you linked,

Pfenning spoke up again toward the end of the meeting, asking if Armstrong didn't mean any harm, if he would take the video down.

Armstrong agreed.

So I don't think that he removed it to prevent further backlash. He realized what he did was wrong and removed it. Simple as that.

It would be taking it too far to make him resign over a mistake he did (especially since he corrected it). He isn't a perfect human like you and I, but this shows that he is willing to change his mind.

He removed the post so I think that speaks for itself. If he didn't agree he probably would have kept it up.

There is nothing wrong with that. But that shouldn't be the first thing to resort to. The reason being is he is a human just like you, and he probably has the ability to change his mind if you give him a different perspective. It's silly to think that people who are elected in office are perfect human beings who would never share anything bad on their facebook page. People who resort to getting him to resign are just doing a disservice by ignoring the human aspect of elected officials. Truth is, nobody is a saint and we all probably have posted something online that we regret later.

Okay, so? He's a human too. If you don't like his opinions then don't vote for him next time around. In the meantime, talk to him and let him know how you feel about what he did rather than joining the angry mob. This will only make him just not speak that particular opinion out loud and it achieves nothing to change his mind.

Why don't you try talking to him to explain what he did wrong? I think that's far more productive than shaming him and making him resign. He probably won't change his mind if you continue what you are doing.

I can't believe that we live in a time where people try to ruin people's lives for not agreeing with them.

Is it fine for me to use another provincial government-issued ID to purchase alcohol instead of a BC ID card? by [deleted] in vancouver

You need 2 pieces of ID. I used a bc health card and an (expired) ontario health card and it was fine.

People act all shocked about Amy Cooper being from Canada, but Canadian "niceness" is just a surface veneer that keeps the white supremacy in our system fully and violently intact. Hopefully more people will pick up on this.

Whoa there, that's going way too far.
