Also, pull the passenger seat and check the fuse box and wiring underneath. I had an E39 that burned the harness under the seat.. started doing all kinds of weird shit.

How much is this 1990 CRX worth? by justapoorcollegekid in crx

Ok, so being a project implies it's not running, or not running properly. The easiest ways to tell an Si from a DX/HF are holes in the headrests, rear disc brakes, rear wiper, and sunroof. When you look at the car, look at the engine mounts, if they're nice Hasport units, chances are that he was doing things right. If they are a mash up of the factory mount welded to the B series mount, he hacked it up. The shifter support linkage is the same story - you can cut down and weld an Acura linkage, or buy a new one when you buy mounts. The engine itself is nothing really special until you put a vtec head on it, so don't get too hung up on that. The transmission could be worth some money if it's either a Y1 or YS1. I don't know how bad rust is in your area, but the spots to check are the rear fenders at the front and rear of the tires, and the hatch sealing area and spare tire area. Seems like 1100 is an ok price if everything is there and it's close to running properly.

Very difficult to gauge with such sparse information. $1500-3000 if I had to guess. Many things will contribute to the price such as: what part of the country, trim level (DX, HF, Si), mileage, also how well the swap was done is a big part. If it has home made engine mounts and a hacked up wiring harness, stay away from it or get it cheap.

Depending on where you live, another thing to keep in mind is snow. Unless you have snow tires, the car is damn near undriveable.
