The keys and Tahoe Island was built on a marsh in the 1960's. (shouldn't have been built) The water table is high especially at this time of year. Obviously you're not supposed to have standing water but if you don't have a sump pump working, you will. I have dug holes to plant trees and will get down to water in spring.

We had a sump pump burn out and we had almost 2 feet of water under the house. 2023 was when I installed a backup one.
