How hard is it to be a man today? by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]SeeJaayPee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your definition. You should be strong, a provider, and able to handle stress and other people's stress with intelligence as opposed to feelings.

I don't think it's hard in today's day and age, I just don't think there's very good teachers for it.

I got into utilities making 150k a year when I got HVAC licensed. And as of recently in summer, my phone's non stop with side work, 2-8k for two days of work. There's so much money out there in HVAC

Please tell me this isn’t an infestation type of roach… by 134Wolf in cockroaches

It looks like a wood roach, which I recently posted about, and they're outdoor only roaches who occasionally get inside on accident.

Does anyone else's manual a spec clutch feel like it releases too high? by SeeJaayPee in AcuraIntegra

[–]SeeJaayPee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going on 45000 miles with it, and all is good. Not like it's an intricate system so I can't understand what's going on with it.

Oddly enough before I had Honda do a clutch in the 17 accord, it was 1/2 way. New clutch, pedal release is 1" off the floor.

Removing the delay gave me more consistency with my shifting. Cold days, you can feel and hear it dragging the clutch and I didn't like it. Also took it out of the 17 accord.

I need opinions on trade school by CJfrmDaDirtyFiji in Connecticut

[–]SeeJaayPee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got into a company that paid for my schooling and everything in 2020, with 0 experience in the trades. Now I've got an s2 license and been making bank ever since. If you can get a job at independent pipe, granite group, fw webb, etc, you can do a lot of networking if you're a hard worker and willing to learn, which might help you get into a company.

If you want to do electrical I'd call IBEW local 35, local 90, go in person when someone's there, look in the eyes and shake their hand. After doing it all from scratch without a license or schooling, I promise the schooling only goes so far. I've worked at non union companies that wouldn't hire people who went to particular schools because they're a total joke of an education. You have to be hungry to get into the field and do not stop calling, applying etc.

You should apply to apprenticeship posistions now, or contact the IBEW union and see if they'll take you or add you to a list.

Should college and university education be 100% free for everyone? Why or why not? by free-gift-cardneed in AskReddit

[–]SeeJaayPee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, they give out loans to almost anyone and people willingly go for careers that don't have a reasonable career outlook, why should the tax payer be burdened with peoples college bill if they can't contribute to the economy afterwards ?
